Chief Ning spoke on the phone, and then looked at Tang Xiao, his expression was complicated.
Tang Xiao felt like he was looking at her like he’d seen a ghost.
“Are you sure it’s Tang Xiao? She’s right next to me.” Chief Ning said darkly.
For the sake of confirming it, he even slapped her head.
SMACK, Tang Xiao felt pain in her head and couldn’t help but yelp.
“F***, what are you doing?” Tang Xiao held onto her head and cried out.
“Did you hear that? She sounds lively too.” Chief Ning passed the phone to Tang Xiao, “Did you find out where it came from?”
“Mu Cheng?” Tang Xiao asked, “What happened?”
“Just then, someone used your phone to call me and said they had asked you to go and sit with them.” Mu Cheng’s voice was very deep, and filled with anger.
Tang Xiao heard this and froze.
Her mind was a bit muddled, sit with them?
Why?
Wasn’t she sitting here with Chief Ning and well?
… What the heck, was she possessed or was Mu Cheng confused?
Wait! Her phone …
“F****!!! It’s Mu Jin!!!!” Tang Xiao suddenly shot to her feet. “When we were shooting makeup photos, didn’t my phone fall to the ground?! Mu Jin then drove off to repair my phone and she hasn’t given it back! What the heck! These days, people can hit the wrong person, but they can also kidnap the wrong person too?”
Mu Cheng seemed to have thought of this too, “Mu Jin …”
“Your third uncle?” Chief Ning’s finger knocked against the couch.
“Not too sure, it doesn’t seem like it.” Mu Cheng said coldly. “First, wait for me at the Ning family house. I’ll head over immediately. Don’t leave the house.”
“En. Be careful.”
- Turn back time to an hour before the incident.
Mu Jin walked out of the phone repair store and felt like somebody was following her.
From when she beat up Ji Mingxiu, she grew more or less quite sensitive to these things.
She purposely walked in areas that had lots of people, trying to throw off the people on her tail.
It was hard enough for her to finally throw them off, as she finally stepped into a small suburb.
Then she felt a burlap sack cover her head.
Burlap sacks, these things, were instantly known for things to help people kill other people, set fire, etc.
If you don’t like someone, throw a burlap sack over their head and smack them with a brick.
Once that rough feeling touched Mu Jin’s face, she instantly knew it was a burlap sack.
Furthermore, from a professional view, they weren't any more professional than she was.
But even if you weren’t professional, it was really easy to accidentally harm someone.
So for the sake of avoiding that, Mu Jin was very cooperative.
These people didn’t instantly try to kill her either.
When the burlap sack went over her head, they saw that Mu Jin didn’t try to struggle so they didn't try to knock her out.
“So this is Tang Xiao?” A man asked timidly.
Someone then grabbed and tied up Mu Jin’s hands.
Before Mu Jin was caught with a burlap sack, there were only a couple of high school kids hanging around the small suburb.
Hearing that voice, she froze.
-- Did she just … get kidnapped by a couple of high school kids?
“It definitely is. I recognise the car plate.” Another high pitched male voice said.
Many ancient people were evidence of a saying with their blood - there will always be karma.
Back when she accidentally beat up Tang Xiao with a stick instead of Ji Mingxiu, now her karma had come.
“That …” Mu Jin hesitated before opening her mouth.
“F****! Old three! Why is she speaking?” The first timid voice was shocked.
Mu Jin: ….. Why couldn’t she speak?
“Quick, quick, quick! She’s going to scream!” The high pitched voice grew frantic as he shoved her.
The man’s strength was greater than hers, and especially in a rush, Mu Jin didn’t even know how many times she got shoved.
Something finally smashed into her, pain radiated from her forehead.
