Chapter 11.1 - Unknowingly reunited




The man froze, lifting his eyes to meet Lou Qingwu’s eyes.

She narrowed her eyes.

Even though Yi had taken care to adjust how much pressure he put into the dagger when he stabbed her, the dagger had still injured her quite seriously.

So right now, her body was still extremely weak. She furrowed her brows as she looked at the man who had suddenly appeared.

The man stood with his back against the window so she couldn’t see his face properly but for some reason, she felt a sense of familiarity from him.

“Who are you?”

She coughed, her voice was hoarse.

The man stopped and suddenly lowered his head to laugh lowly. His clear voice was like water and her body froze suddenly.

Her lips parted slightly and only spat out, “You …”

But in the end, she could only angrily stare at him, tightening her hands on his to try to see him clearer because he suddenly hit her pressure points.

Right before she fainted, she only saw the sunlight behind him form a golden aura highlight his silhouette as purple flashed before her eyes.

Her heart became cold as she slowly drifted into unconsciousness.

The man stared at her face as it slowly calmed and dotingly sighed. His long fingers parted open her clothes and helped her re-bandage her wound.

He pasted on some better medicine and furrowed his brows tightly once more before leaving.

When his fingers longingly brushed over her eyebrows, he left behind one more vial of medicine before leaving.

When Lou Qingwu woke up, she stared dazedly at the vial of medicine left behind.

She furrowed her brows and picked up the medicine before being about to throw it to the ground.

But at the last moment, her hand put down the vial as she continued to sit in a daze.

It was only until her door opened that she placed the medicine underneath his pillow.

The door was pushed open as Li Jingsheng walked in. Seeing Lou Qingwu, his face split into a grin and Lou Qingwu raised her brow.

He immediately rubbed his face and lifted up the human skin mask, “Master, wasn’t it alike?”

Lou Qingwu tiredly leaned back against the headboard, slowly nodding, “Alike. Has everything been sorted out?”

“Master can rest assured! When this young gentleman does anything, he does it well! Yi has already been protected well by me so Li Jingsheng’s people definitely won’t be able to find him. But master, Li Jingsheng’s re-investigating the Tang family’s affairs. We might have provoked him too much, using Yi which might make him suspicious.”

“Then let him be suspicious. The more unsettled he is, the better it will be for us.”

She lightly narrowed her eyes, the cold laughter in her eyes deepened.

It’s only when the paste from the paper window is lifted that she’ll be able to see who else was implicated in the deaths of the Tang family!

“Ah? What is this smell, it smells so good …”

The Thousand Face Lord’s nose twitched as he smelt the scent floating in the air. It seemed like the scent of plum flowers, light, clear and comforting.

“Master, what is it?” Suddenly his hands grabbed forward, before Lou Qingwu could react, snatching the vial from underneath her pillow.

The jade vial glistened, obviously a high grade jade, he tutted, using high grade jade for a medicine vial was such a waste.

When he opened it, a clear fragrance floated out.

Lou Qingwu finally reacted and her face changed, “Thousand face!”

“Oh! Here!” Thousand Face Lord suddenly smiled but when he smelt what was in the vial, he suddenly couldn’t close his mouth, “F***, master, you actually have the Godly Doctor’s ‘Ostentatious Jade’! This is a top grade godly medicine that even the imperial palace can’t get. Master, you’re too cool! No wonder you weren’t scared of being stabbed. Apparently the ‘Ostentatious Jade’ can heal any wound without leaving a scar.”

Ahhhhh, he wanted the Godly Doctor’s medicine too!

But, master’s injuries were important too …

“Hehehe, master ah, let’s make an agreement. When you’ve used up all of the medicine, can you give me the vial?” He wanted to hoard it because after all, it was the Godly Doctor’s vial.

“No.”

Lou Qingwu rejected him without much thought but just as she was about to speak, she heard footsteps coming.

The Thousand Face Lord immediately hid his laughter, returned the vial, slipped on the human skin mask and respectfully waited to the side.
