Chapter 53.2 - Rejecting him

She looked at Su Sheng’s leaving figure and Lou Qingwu couldn’t take back her eyes for a long while after.

Little Bell had followed behind her for the sake of any accidents.

In a moment, the whole Leaning Wind Pavilion was just left with Lou Qingwu and Thousand face.

“Master, on the Countess of Chaoxia’s side, they’ve already started moving.”

Thousand face appropriately reminded that tonight definitely wasn’t a night for sleeping.

Apart from Mu Yunqing and Su Sheng’s grievances, there was also the Countess of Chaoxia colluding with Ruan Zhen and her daughter to scheme their evil plans.

She leaned against the window sill and watched Thousand face’s leaving figure as some unknown emotion entered her still eyes.

Her fingers fell on a black box placed in front of her.

She changed her clothes and seeing that it was nearly time, pushed open the door and left.

Just as she was leaving the Leaning Wind Pavilion, she unexpectedly saw someone.

“Qingwu.” Li Jingsheng saw her walk towards him and he immediately went forward, seeming exceptionally hurried and impatient.

“Assistant General Li.”

“You …” Li Jingsheng’s expression wasn’t too good as he seemed to be hesitating over something.

Finally, a thought seemed to prevail as he grabbed lou Qingwu’s hands. “Are you still angry over what happened at the palace?”

“What is Assistant General Li saying? Qingwu doesn’t understand.” She soundlessly pulled away her hands as her brows furrowed.

“How can you not understand? You’re definitely still angry! Otherwise, you wouldn’t … you wouldn’t …”

“Wouldn’t what?”

“Why did you go to the Night Prince’s residence?!” He finally growled.

But Li Jingsheng was also afraid of attracting attention so he lowered his voice again, “I already told you. I couldn’t do anything then. Did you really want me to offend the Countess of Chaoxia? Offending her would be the same as offending imperial prince Zong, how could you let me do that?! Also, even if I didn’t help you, weren’t you fine afterwards anyway? You know how I feel about you, don’t you?”

Lou Qingwu’s furrowed brows became deeper, “Assistant General Li … your feelings … I really don’t know. I should be free to go wherever I go, right? Furthermore, are you misunderstanding something? You’re Lianxin little sis’ fiance so apart from that, I really don’t have any feelings for you!”

The clear rejection made Li Jingsheng’s face go white.

His eyes went vicious.

“You were playing with me?”

Lou Qingwu narrowed her eyes, was he becoming angry from the humiliation?

“Why aren’t you speaking? You don’t have anything else to say? Is it because the Night Prince has a higher ranking so you want to climb on top of his branch? Anything that this assistant general likes, even the Night Prince can’t take it!”

He viciously stared at Lou Qingwu as once he thought of the pent up frustration over these few days, a fire started in his chest.

Originally, he thought that the gossip between the Night Prince and Qingwu were baseless, but as they became even more and more exaggerated, he couldn’t help but send over someone to check.

Who knew that she had actually gone to his residence, and not only once!

This finally triggered him and after keeping it in for so long, he finally waited for this opportunity to confront her.

But she wanted to keep her distance from him?

She’s dreaming!

Or was she already with the Night Prince and did that ...
