Then he looked at Lou Qingwu and placed the black jade pendant from his waist to her palm, âI have something to deal with. You can go to the auction first and Iâll find you later.â
Lou Qingwu knew that he had to deal with something so she received his jade pendant, âYou can deal with your business.â
Thinking that she shouldnât run into any troubles here, Feng Yege then left.
After he left, Lou Qingwu followed the path that Feng Yege told her to go and not too long later, saw the entrance to the auction.
It was a completely different style to the rest of the underground black market.
The auctionâs entrance was made from pure white marble with only some golden veins intertwining throughout.
It looked solemn and dignified, with an impressive air to it.
As it was the first time sheâd come, Lou Qingwu was a bit entranced by it, until behind her, there was an arrogant and disdainful sound behind her.
She clicked her tongue, âHow could the auction left this type of person come in?â
Lou Qingwu returned to her senses and turned around to face a delicately carved face paired with a floor length pink gown.
It made the girl seem as beautiful as peach blossoms, apart from those mocking eyes that looked in Lou Qingwuâs direction which her beauty couldnât hide.
Lou Qingwu just looked at her once to make sure she was looking at her, before furrowing her brows.
She then looked at herself and realised she was still wearing her maid servantâs clothes and understood.
At the same time, her eyes also coldened.
The girl saw how Lou Qingwu even dared to look her in the eye and became even more unhappy.
Her fingers immediately raised up and pointed to one of the servers who stood in all four directions, waiting patiently, âYou and you, drag her out for this miss!â
Seeing this type of person really dirtied her eyes.
Lou Qingwu heard this and instead of getting angry, laughed.
She didnât say anything and continued to lean on the white jade wall, coldly laughing as she took in this scene.
The two people who were pointed at, looked at each other with difficult expressions.
This miss came late so she didnât see clearly, but they saw clearly.
She came here with a young gentleman and passed her a black jade pendant, so how could they dare to offend her?
One of the servers smiled politely and spoke to her, âThis miss, those who come are guests. Us servants, canât ask them to leave.â
In the special case that it was someone they really couldnât offend, then they wouldnât even have a life left.
Originally, those with smart minds, shouldâve picked up the second layer of meaning behind his words.
But this girl was depending on her high status and breeding so she wouldnât let it go.
She was the dukeâs grand esteemed daughter, when did she ever have to walk in with a servant to any place?
If this spread out, how could she have any face to stay in the noble girlsâ circle?
âNo way! You definitely have to kick her out!â
âThis âŠ.â
âWhat? Even this miss canât order you around? Do you know who I am?â
âWhat? Even this miss canât order you around? Do you know who I am?â
At this time, one of the servers lowered his eyes to hide his impatience.
Those who could enter and leave here were either high ranked officials or nobles, how could he know who she was?
But he still had to patiently ask, âWho is this miss?â
âListen up!â The girl became high and mighty, âThis miss is Duke Pingyangâs eldest miss!â
On the side, Lou Qingwu heard this and her eyes narrowed.
So this was that infamously arrogant and stubborn Nie Zhenâer.
She depended on her duke father and didnât take anyone seriously.
The fact that her personality hadnât clashed with anyone was truly, a miracle.
Too lazy to deal with this annoyance, Lou Qingwu straightened up and walked inside.
If she delayed any longer, she was afraid she wouldnât be able to solve it in an hour.
Seeing Lou Qingwuâs actions, the server let out a relieved breath.
Finally, they bumped into someone who was clever.
If they could avoid provoking anyone, theyâd avoid doing so, or otherwise, if someone from above punished them, they really couldnât take the consequences.
But when they looked at Nie Zhenâer, they looked at her with disdain.
She was just a dukeâs daughter, did she really have to be that proud?
Anyone who came inside here wouldnât have a rank that much lower than hers!
In her residence, Nie Zhenâer was used to being raised up high and doted on, so who knew that even after revealing her status, these people still acted as if they didnât know.
Especially that girl wearing a maid servantâs clothes, she was even worse, to think that sheâd actually just walk away like that?
âStand still for this miss!â
Lou Qingwu was too lazy to deal with her and continued to walk forward.
Nie Zhenâer then became extremely angry as she quickened her steps, even yanking up her long gown to lift her leg up to stomp towards Lou Qingwu.

TL note:
Hello cannon fodder. Good bye cannon fodder.
Leave a comment and follow for a hero to save a lady in distress xx
Moar blood for the blood gods! A healthy dose of cannon fodder a day keeps the readers happy anyway. (... well until it becomes repetitive, but for now! MOAR CANNON FODDER OMNOMNOM)
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since our last piece of cannon fodder (the countess) but she's not even dead yet. This cannon fodder should last for a few chapters đ€đ€
DeleteNeeds more old ginger since they're spicier. :D
DeleteHopefully this one's a bit more interesting rather than just straight up SEE PROTAG, KEEL PROTAG. ... Although just based on this opening, it looks like that's the archetype we get this time.
I assume since she has backing though, not gonna die for a while.
Maybe just think of her as a stepping stone for another male character to enter? Her attitude is partly LQW's fault.
DeleteWhen we get a more "interesting" protagonist, I'll probably get a decrease in readers because of how frustratingly annoying she is đ·đ
i want our protag to have a female friend....does she ever get one?...oh yea thanks for the chapter...-whispers- if u need another person to beg with you i will bring my cat and we will kneel ^w^)/
ReplyDeleteYes, she does! It'll be a servant Lan Bai who was super loyal to her in her last lifetime (chapter 75) đđ
DeleteYou have a cat?? I want a cat so badly but I'll be moving interstate so I have to wait until afterwards đ«đ«
awww kay and interstate? haha i dont know what that means
DeleteI'll be moving to another city/state for work next year đ€đ€
Deleteyour comment x'D
ReplyDeleteExcept the cannon fodder hasn't left yet đ±đ± (I was pretty impressed by my wit.)
DeleteWowza. Talk about salty :00. Thanks for the chapter!
