I've translated a small chapter from a cute arc.

So this is just a new arc that I've read (I pick and choose arcs because life is too short to read about even more school drama arcs). The name of the arc is, "Shenjun likes to rub cats".

It starts off super funny. This is a world with immortals and fairies, and demons but it's not a cultivation arc.

Among them, is the stereotypical cold and aloof immortal Shenjun (literally Shen=god, Jun=ruler). He says that he wants a seed to grow a cat, like the ones in those mortal houses that are furry, soft to touch and occasionally meow at you. But that would make him lose face, so everyone gossips that he got a seed to grow a wife, a chubby and cute little wife. His child servants all roll their eyes because they know their master wants a cute cat.

And so Shenjun continues to water his seed until it grows into a little sapling. He criticises it, saying that it's slow growing. The female lead, has now travelled to become this sapling and is about to break down. She can't do anything except slightly move her leaves, she can't even leave the ground because her roots are still too small and she can't speak. Cue hilarity.

One day, there's a storm and heavy rain. Someone asks Shenjun if it's okay that his little sapling is outside, won't she get damaged by the storm? Shenjun emotionlessly says no before saying that he has to grab something from outside.

Ranqi was happily drinking the rain water.

The rain drops hit her small leaves, it felt so cooling,  she couldn't wait to have more.

But before she drank her fill, the raindrops falling down on her leaves suddenly stopped.

Ranqi waved her small leaves and looked up before seeing her poop collector looking like a thief, looking suspicious and sneaky as he carried an umbrella, emotionlessly looking in all four directions.

When he saw that no one was around, he crouched down and opened up the umbrella in his hands.

He placed it above Ranqi, shielding her tightly from the rain.

The rain fell on the umbrella, pitter patter, as it rolled down the sides and not a single drop landed on Ranqi's small leaves.

It wasn't that Qiao Ze didn't want to use his powers to reflect the rainwater from his little sapling.

Yue Lao said that when growing this type of seed, the most important thing was to do everything personally.

It would be best to mimic what the mortals did, so apart from the spiritual water and spiritual earth, he definitely couldn't use his powers in case he hurt his weak little sapling.

So, Qiao Ze could only personally open up an umbrella and prop it up over her.

Ranqi who had no rainwater: .......

Really, really, angry!!!

Ranqi started to consider what he meant.

Like she'd be beaten to death by the rain?

Before she was able to think it through, she saw her stem that was bent down in protest, instantly be forcibly straightened up by him.

She angrily heard him say, "See, even this got bent down."

Ranqi: .......

Sorry, but that was a sign of my strong and proud backbone protesting.

But no mater how she struggled, it was easily bent straight by that person.

Ranqi was impossibly upset.

She really wanted to use her leaves to slap his face.

No rain, no backbone, no protesting, but Ranqi got an extra umbrella, an umbrella that stopped her drinking rainwater ....

Ranqi's stem nearly broke from the strong gush of water.

And the two smallest leaves at the top of her stem nearly broke from the huge amount of water.

It took a while for her to slowly recover.

She didn't die at the hands of the rain, but she nearly died at this fool's hands!

Ah! Humans!

Furthermore, Ranqi felt like ... this was too much water ...

Ranqi felt like her whole stem was drowning in water, and she was about to run out of air.

Qiao Ze had no inkling that he'd nearly killed Ranqi, as he crouched down and rubbed her stem and two little leaves.

He then turned around to leave.

Ranqi: .... Brother, you just left like that?!!!

Your freaking mom, you just came here to harm me right?
