Chapter 2.1
Du Mohan’s face was cold as he sat on the sofa and loosened his tie.
Ruan Chacha looked at his side profile and thought about what he did to the original character and her limbs started to go cold.
She put down her crutches and then sat at the other end of the couch, prim and proper.
At this stage, she really wasn’t faking it.
She really was a bit scared of him using his sinister methods to defeat her but then she kept thinking.
The original character was able to marry the male lead because the original character’s grandpa and the male lead’s grandpa had saved each other’s lives.
If she pretended to be super scared of the male lead …
Ruan Chacha looked down at her bandaged leg …
Eureka, she suddenly thought!
She only has to go in front of the male lead’s grandpa and pretend as if the male lead absolutely hates her, wants to kill her and even beat her up.
Not only was she going to put up a show in front of his grandpa, she was going to do it in front of everyone, including the servants to pretend as if he had been hurting her!
So if the male lead gets any more angrier or even dares to raise a hand against her, as soon as she disappears, everyone would definitely turn their eyes on the male lead.
She believed that the male lead definitely wouldn't take that risk to harm her anyway.
Ruan Chacha smirked away from the male lead, that’s what he gets for being so ruthless!
Let’s go, fake it!
Ruan Chacha pretended to be like a child that had done something wrong, sitting on the sofa and carefully glancing at Du Mohan.
Every time she glanced at him, she looked at him with fear and her body even shook a little bit, leading the housekeeper and other servants to be a bit suspicious.
Whenever madam saw their master, she would always disregard his cold face and ignore him when he scolded her and keep getting closer to him.
She’d constantly ask how he was by smiling and sweetening herself towards him.
But everyone knew that he didn’t like his madam, and she really didn’t deserve anything either.
She had a nasty violent temper and treated the servants and housekeeper terribly, constantly screaming at them.
So the servants didn’t like the madam, and even hoped that their master would hurry up and divorce this crazy woman.
Even the housekeeper who had taken care of Du Mohan since he was young constantly sighed, how would this woman ever be a match for his master, no wonder why he didn’t like her.
But today, madam seemed a bit scared of their master, or is this some sort of new trick?
Ruan Chacha kept faking it until her throat started getting a bit dry.
She was so thirsty, so what if she .. drank a bit of water.
She looked towards the table that had two cups, she didn’t know which one was hers …
They were both a deep blue and seemed quite expensive but none of them were a bit more feminine, so maybe the one that was slightly lighter in colour was hers.
Ruan Chacha shot another quick look at Du Mohan who had his eyes closed as he rested against the sofa.
She quietly picked up her crutches and went to get up the lighter blue cup.
After successfully getting the cup and seeing it full with water, Ruan Chacha forgot that her current identity would allow her to just order the servants to get a cup of water.
The housekeeper and servants all looked at each other, why was madam drinking their master’s cup of water? Master is germaphobic …
Ruan Chacha had no idea which of the two cups belonged to Du Mohan so she just raised her head back and drank it all in one go.
Before swallowing the last big, she inadvertently met eyes with Du Mohan, who had opened his eyes some time ago.
When she suddenly met with such icy eyes, Ruan Chacha suddenly jumped.
She was so shocked she suddenly choked on her water and spat it all in his face.
Housekeeper and servants: “!!!!”
They were so scared their eyeballs were about to jump out, was madam using this technique to get their master’s attention?
Du Mohan, with his face full of water droplets, stared at Ruan Chacha, not moving, like he was looking at a dead person.
Ruan Chacha’s little heart was about to stop and quickly jumped to Du Mohan’s side, grabbing a cloth and wiping at his face.
As she wiped, she weakly explained, “So-sorry, I was just … scared by your expression, and when I was scared, I just, just … I didn’t do it on purpose …”
Ruan Chacha was ‘so scared she was shaking’, her hands shook as she wiped at Du Mohan’s face.
Ruan Chacha was trying her hardest to keep acting and didn’t notice that Du Mohan’s expression was getting darker and darker.
His expression was getting more and more dangerous as he looked at her.
The housekeeper was stunned, madam! That’s a cleaning cloth!
The housekeeper was so anxious, the master was so germaphobic, so much that no one could beat him at it.
Du Mohan smelt the disinfectant smell from the cloth and shouted at her, “Get lost!”
He pushed aside Ruan Chacha’s hands but who knew that such a light push would make the almost crippled Ruan Chacha nearly fly across the room.
Ruan Chacha fell to the ground and delicately and pitifully cried out ‘Ah!’
She fell and couldn’t get up!
F***! She overdid it and acted a bit too hard, she nearly pulled on her leg!

TL note:
Some of the actions have apostrophes to denote that it’s sarcastic, like she’s not actually shaking because she’s scared - she’s just pretending to be scared.
Chacha has good acting skills.
