Chapter 1.2 - Dead but will not close her eyes

Lou Lianxin’s previously weak and innocent expression instantly disappeared, replaced with a contemptuous and mocking expression, “Lou Qingwu, didn’t think there would be a day you would be like this …”

She crouched down, pinching Lou Qingwu’s chin to make sure that she met her eyes.

But what she saw wasn’t pleading, there was no sadness and instead, Lou Qingwu’s eyes were expressionless with a coldness like she was an emotionless ice sculpture.

Forever pure and saintly, incredibly pure.

The difference between them two was always the difference between a cloud and mud!

Lou Lianxin always hated this face, how could it be, how could it be that they were both girls from the Lou family but she was always high and mighty, the empress of the whole land, but she was married to a poor student?

She was completely unsatisfied!

“Lou Qingwu, are you looking down on me? Do you think that you’re still high and mighty? Then we’ll see if you can still maintain your high and mighty cold facade, this expressionless and indifferent face!”

Lou Lianxin suddenly laughed strangely, her whole face was distorted.

She slowly crouched down and opened Lou Qingwu’s palace robes, her light fingers sliding from her chest down, slowly towards her stomach. Her stomach was round and smooth and full like a balloon and in there, was a life.

Lou Qingwu’s eyes finally, because of her actions, shimmered with ruthlessness.

“Finally, not so expressionless?”

Lou Lianxin laughed ‘Ge ge ge”, the sinister sound echoed throughout the empty palace was bloodchilling, “Big sister, don’t worry. Your little sister wants to help you give birth, can’t you tell? This is medicine to help you give birth. You have to give birth to a fat and white little nephew for your little sister! Ha ha ha ha!” When Lou Lianxin finished speaking, she pinched Lou Qingwu’s chin and poured the medicine down her throat.

Lou Qingwu tried to move her head away but her whole body couldn’t move.

The medicine was poured down her throat very quickly and not long after, a sharp pain in her abdomen was felt. Iit hurt so much that she thought she would faint from the pain but she knew that she couldn’t. Child, child, she wanted to give birth to this child!

She felt that she had never felt such a tormenting pain in her whole life, and she didn’t know how much time had passed until the child finally was born.

But the blood kept flowing.

Lou Qingwu knew that this was a sign that she could die from blood loss, but she didn’t care about this, she couldn’t hear crying!

Child …

She opened her mouth and tried hard to lift up her body but each and every time, she helplessly fell to the floor.

Lou Lianxin watched and suddenly, “Ge ge ge” laughed. Her lips were pinched and twisted as she sinisterly looked on, “Lou Qingwu, you’re so naive. I can’t wait for you to die! As if I could let you give birth to that bastard so that he can fight for affection with my royal son? You want to see him? Ha ha ha, I’ll let you see!”

After Lou Lianxin spoke, she dragged an object and threw it in front of Lou Qingwu’s face.

Lou Qingwu tried her hardest to move her head to see but the moment she saw that barely formed child, Lou Qingwu’s eyes finally reddened.

As if her life depended on it, she lifted her hands and just wanted to try and touch that dead fetus whose body was black and blue all over. But her hands and legs were crippled and she couldn’t even do that little. All she could do was open her eyes and watch helplessly as her baby was on the cold floor, that small body even with its limbs spread out, was just that small and helpless. She felt like her heart was being ripped apart …

Lou Lianxin watched intensely as Lou Qingwu’s face suddenly changed and her eyes looked as if they would pop out, she loudly laughed, “Ha ha ha! Lou Qingwu, were you really expecting he could be born alive? From the day you stepped into the Cold Palace, it was already impossible. Can you see? All four sides are covered in infertility causing grass, he was dead from the start! Dead from the start! Ha ha ha, Lou Qingwu, you’ll die with your eyes open right? After you die, I’ll seal your body in a coffin so this way, you won’t ever be able to reincarnate, ha ha ha! You’ll live in every single life time, life time after lifetime, with hatred that can’t be passed and you will forever watch me live splendidly in glory … and you, you’ll only be able to watch, only be able to envy me yet have nothing … hahaha ….”

Lou Qingwu was still looking at that child, she wanted to embrace his ice cold body so she could warm it, even for just a moment and her body kept moving towards it but all of her efforts were in vain.

Her body’s veins were struggling so much that they were protruding out in a sinister and horrific way. Her whole body’s blood just dripping, drop by drop, flowing towards that child’s body. The whole scene was reeking of blood like the scene of a sacrifice.

And her child, was being sacrificed.

Ah ---

Lou Qingwu screamed in despair.

“He he he --!” She stretched her neck and her throat called out sounds like a mother beast but she still could not reach that child …

An unknown amount of time passed before Lou Lianxin had finally seen enough, was satisfied and slowly stood up. She walked towards the already cold body of Lou Qingwu.

Her eyes were still unwaveringly staring at the direction of the child, her eyes were wide open and red like red coral, demonic and sorrowful …

Full of despair to the moment she died, Lou Lianxin had finally, finally stepped on her completely, making her completely underneath her feet.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ….

Lou Lianxin’s laugh was piercing and penetrating and she didn’t know until when, the door finally opened again.

Surpassing Lou Qingwu’s red wide open eyes even at death, Lou Lianxin ran towards a tall figure, crying helplessly, “Emperor, big sister, she wanted to kill me … I didn’t do it on purpose, she just suddenly had to give birth and in good will, I wanted to help her give birth but she wanted to kill me. I was so afraid so I pushed her away but who knew that big sister would suddenly kill her own child, emperor, I’m so scared, so, so, scared …”

Her voice that would elicit pity followed another anger filled consoling voice, “Lian’er, don’t be afraid. Dead is dead. It’s only a bastard, as long as it doesn’t frighten our child.”

“Emperor …”

“Come, someone! Drag this bitch and child and throw it out to feed the dogs!”

Outside of the palace, it suddenly became disordered.

Lou Qingwu’s body was being dragged away like a rag but no one could feel that when her hand moved and accidentally touched the child, the body that had clearly died a while ago suddenly moved to grab the child’s soft and tender little hand. Her eyes that were still wide open at death suddenly let out a bloody tear drop ...

This is probably as gruesome as it gets, which could be relieving or disappointing, depending on your personal preferences.
