Chapter 226.2 - Stop digging underneath my wall

“What are you pausing for, hurry up back to the tavern and get the money!” He turned around and shouted at his servant.

His servant immediately jumped up in shock before running out of Changle Lane.

But this only amused the audience, as they continued to laugh.

After all, it was Xiliang country’s side that started the competition, but fell flat on their faces instead.

This made the audience excited as they became riled up, shouting loudly.

Shu Yunyan watched coldly at the smiling face of the girl in front of him.

His pale face was dark.

He lost twice to the same girl, this was the first time that this had ever happened.

Very good! Very, very good!

After the servant came back to Xiliang Mubai with the money, Xiliang Mubai turned around to face Lou Qingwu.

His mood grew strange before staring at her, love-struck.

But Lou Qingwu acted as if she couldn’t feel his gaze on her, as she continued to recline casually, letting him look at her as much as he liked.

After all, with Xiliang Mubai’s brains, no matter how hard he looked at her, he still wouldn’t be able to figure out that she was the Lou family’s daughter that he had only just rejected.

Of course, that’s only true for Xiliang Mubai and not for Shu Yunyan.

When Lou Qingwu had just walked down from upstairs, Shu Yunyan had already been suspicious of her identity.

She knew that he probably could guess who she was.

Indeed, when she watched him slowly regain his composure as his eyes curved like a fox’s, “This gentleman, you seem … very familiar. “

“Oh? Really? I have a pretty common face so even if I do look familiar, that’s not too strange.”

“Is that really the case?” Shu Yunyan suddenly seemed to have thought of something as he stood up to walk over to Lou Qingwu.

His long legs strode towards her, step but step.

But when Xiliang Mubai saw this, he startled and immediately blocked off Shu Yunyan, “Hey, Shu Yunyan, you can’t dig underneath my wall like this!”

He liked the girl first!

Shu Yunyan glared at him, “Move.”

Xiliang Mubai shrunk a bit, guiltily, underneath Shu Yunyan’s glare.

Thinking about how cold Shu Yunyan is and how he probably wouldn’t also like Lou Qingwu, he reluctantly stepped to the side.

Shu Yunyan then continued to in front of Lou Qingwu, stretching out a hand and reaching towards Lou Qingwu.

Leng Yichen’s eyes darkened as he was about to stop Shu Yunyan, but Lou Qingwu gestured towards him to not interfere.

Leng Yichen then put down his arm but continued to watch Shu Yunyan intently.

Shu Yunyan didn’t touch Lou Qingwu’s face but he stopped only just before touching her face, his eyes tracing her eyes before his lips curved into a smile, “it seems like, gentleman Mu really does look like someone I know.”

“Really?” Lou Qingwu’s lips also curved.

“I don’t know if we can talk alone?”

“Why not?” Lou Qingwu’s smile also held some other intentions which made Xiliang Mubai’s heart stop for a second.

These two people can’t have liked each other, already, right?

Just as Xiliang Mubai was about to refuse, Shu Yunyan shot another cold glare his way.

Xiliang Mubai then could only unhappily sit back down and glare back, “Shu Yunyan, what do you want to talk to her about privately?”

“Not something you should know about.”

“You! How dare you speak to me like that!”

“Why don’t you think about how you’ll return that one hundred thousand gold back to me when we get back to Xiliang country!” Shu Yunyan refuted him.

Xiliang Mubai’s face instantly paled before spreading out his hands, “Alright, go then. Just don’t dig underneath my wall!”

But when he watched as Shu Yunyan and Lou Qingwu left together, he still grew angry.
