TFDC Chapter 242.2

Chapter 242.2 - Her regret

Feng Qi fell behind him, wearing clothes that suited his body well as he stood behind Feng Yege, with eyebrows furrowed, “Master, if you can’t bear it, why did you say that to Miss Lou?”

“If I didn’t say that, she wouldn’t let the marriage continue on.” Furthermore, he twirled an iris between his fingers as his eyes grew gentle, “There are some things that won’t work if I just try hard, she … also needs to think it through.”

Otherwise, even if he just tied her down to his side, she still wouldn’t get it.

Everything would be in vain.

Feng Qi still felt a bit muddled and didn’t understand what was going on. But his master had his own plans so he didn’t continue to ask.

“Where is Feng Yi now?”

“He’s probably halfway there, but I believe he’d arrive at Yuebai clan in two days. According to his itinerary, he should be able to get back before the big wedding.”

“En, when he gets back, tell him to see me immediately.”

“Yes!”

--- Underground black market

Li Yuan narrowed his eyes and looked at the person who appeared in the chamber, and then blinked a few times.

Suddenly, he yanked them in, “Now you know to appear? This young master was just about to go and find you, and now you just deliver yourself here! What is up with the imperial edict? I just left the capital for a bit and suddenly you’re marrying a consort? What kind of sick joke is that?”

“It’s not a joke, it’s true.”

“...” Li Yuan choked and threw away his sleeve. “You’re crazy, if you wanted to marry the little fox as a consort, I wouldn’t be so shocked but why is it that woman? You can’t like her, right?” Otherwise, he should’ve married Ye Ji years ago.

So if he didn’t all those years ago, how could he have fallen in love in a few days?

“It’s nothing, her chastity mark disappeared.”

“........” Li Yuan’s eyes bulged as he stared at Feng Yege.

Suddenly he felt like his brain cells were dying, “Don’t tell me, you actually did it?”

“What do you think?” Feng Yege coldly swept his eyes at him.

“Of course not! But even if I know you won’t, the way you said it made me easily misunderstand, so if she made it disappear, what does that have to do with you?”

“She used a voodoo worm to destroy it, and at that time, there were only the two of us.”

“.... And you can bear that?” That didn’t seem like Feng Yege at all.

Li Yuan was curious, “What exactly are you planning on doing?”

“What do I want to do? To give someone a taste of their own medicine. If she likes to scheme against people so much, how could I disappoint her? Help me find a medicine, a ferocious one.” He took out a piece of paper and passed it to Li Yuan.

On the piece of paper, there were three words which made Li Yuan’s peach blossom eyes nearly pop out, “What do you want that thing for?”

“What do you think?”

“But isn’t the ordinary version fine, why do you need that type?”

“Her body’s got voodoo worms all over it, so if it’s a normal type, her voodoo worms would sniff it out immediately.”

“Don’t you want to marry her? Why would you want that? Ah, no, wait!” Li Yuan suddenly narrowed his eyes. “I nearly forgot something. I heard that the imperial edict was to seal that Ye Ji as the Countess of Rende, so if there are two Rende’s, you won’t think to marry the fake one just because you can’t get the real one, right?”

Feng Yege’s thin lips tightened, curving into a thin smile, “Real or fake, who can tell the difference.”

Li Yuan furrowed his brows, suddenly thinking of something and then shooting upright, “You don’t want to … actually …”

Feng Yege’s smile deepened, “It’s exactly like what you’re thinking.”

Li Yuan: “....”

Yege, ah, when did you suddenly become so two faced, suddenly I don’t know you anymore.

In the blink of an eye, there were only three more days until the big wedding.

Even though she was the legitimate daughter as well as the imperially sealed Countess of Rende, Lou Qufeng’s stingy nature was still the same.

He kept pushing the blame on the second madam, saying that she had spent all of the residence’s money and couldn’t take out any money to provide a worthy dowry, so he could only provide a plain one.

So even though it was for the sake of entering the third prince’s residence, Lou Qingwu definitely didn’t want to pitifully marry in like Lou Lianxin did.

So she told Shopkeeper Jin to privately prepare quite a bit, including preparing a phoenix crown and a sunset red cape.

Shopkeeper Jin personally created a beautiful one-of-a-kind phoenix crown and sunset red cape set for her overnight.

Once it was all done, Shopkeeper Jin immediately let Lou Qingwu know to see if she was happy with it.

Lou Qingwu and Lan Bai headed to Jinsi Building to see but didn’t think that they’d bump into Ye Ji and a person that she didn’t want to see.

TL note:

Chastity mark - As in the picture above, apparently in historical times, girls had red chastity marks until they weren’t chaste any more.

Suddenly don’t know you anymore - the actual translation is more along the lines of, ‘suddenly it feels weird/I’m not used to you being like this’

Phoenix crown and sunset red cape - I’ll put in a photo in the next release or you can google ‘凤冠霞帔’
