ReplyDeleteI'd be really really grateful if you can do more teasers for jjwxc novels--especially ancient romance. Umm, my favorite jjwxc C-novels (until now) are probably ๅพ้จๅจ, ้็ๅฎ ๅ, ่ๅฎ ็ๅ, ่ต ๅไธไธ่ฃๅ (the author, ่ฑๆฅ็ปฏ, writes really fun goldfinger heroines). ๅฅธ่ฃไนๅฆน has a very interested twisty-twisted hero (the h transmigrates into her own novel, as a cannon fodder character, and the H is the most ruthless character she had written, ML-no3. To save her poor life, she decides to hold his thigh, lol.) Oh, and ๅฐๅๅฎถ็ๅฐๅจๅจ--it's probably one of the most beautiful, mature C-romances I've read. I agree that the transmigration and reincarnation tropes have been done to death, but I still love them (when done well).

P.S.: Gotta get something off my chest (please don't take it the wrong way!): it should be "Thousand Faces Demonic Concubine." You can think of it like this: Demonic Concubine [with] Thousand [different] Faces.
Thanks, I'd like to but teasers aren't really appreciated because characters aren't fleshed out well enough for readers to enjoy them. Unless I translate just the introductions but with a lot of the transmigration/reincarnation ones, the introductions are all extremely similar ๐ญ

I was actually torn between Thousand Face vs Thousand Faced Demonic Concubine but Thousand Face Demonic Concubine just rolls off the tongue easier? It refers to how the main character has a thousand faces and there's even a character just called Thousand Face too ๐

I have enjoyed reading all the chapters of TFDC. Kudos. Im pretty much glad that you havn't given up on translating. I recently discovered chinese novels. pretty interesting and so not anything Im used to. Cultural shocks and all. But Im liking them haha.

You'd probably say ๅ ๆฒน (jia you) (literally: add oil) when you want to cheer someone on!
