Chapter 219.1 - Don’t want to marry her

As soon as the Xiliang third princess chose her husband and the fifth prince chose his partner, Lou Qingwu would hurry and try to get Xiahou Qing to marry her.

By the time that Xiahou Qing would think she was his person, then she could start using him.

She had no doubts that Xiliang Mubai wouldn’t marry her.

After all, someone as superficial and vain as him, how could he force himself to marry her?

But, that was before so it was best to do a bit of something, as insurance.

She thought for a bit before reaching for a brush, penning a letter.

When she sealed it properly, she called for Thousand Face.

She gave the letter to Thousand Face and ordered, “Deliver it to the ambassador’s outpost, personally to Xiliang country’s Shu Yunyan. No need to say anything, just give it to him. When you come back, be careful and make sure no one’s following you.”

“Yes.” Thousand Face hid the letter securely and started to walk out.

When he opened the door, he saw Little Bell holding a tray, he slightly nodded his head at her before side-stepping her.

Little Bell looked at her curiously, “Master, is there something happening?”

“Just letting him deliver a letter.”

“En.” Little Bell didn’t think too much, instead, she presented the tray like it was a treasure to her.

On the tray, there was a bowl of soup and when opened, it smelled delicious.

“Master, try some. This is a bowl of distinctive style of congee from my hometown, I don’t know if master would be able to eat it?”

Lou Qingwu looked at the congee and smiled, “It does smell lovely.”

She took the spoon from Little Bell and tried a bit, the congee melted in her mouth and tasted as good as it smelt.

Little Bell saw that Lou Qingwu drank it and let out a breath.

Her mouth slowly curved into a sweet smile.

Thousand Face delivered the letter to Shu Yunyan very smoothly.

The people by Shu Yunyan’s side looked at the letter and didn’t discover anything before passing it to Shu Yunyan.

Shu Yunyan was originally talking to the third princess and when he saw the letter, he froze.

“Do you know who delivered it?”

“No idea, the person said that the prime minister would understand after seeing it.”

“Really?” Shu Yunyan narrowed his eyes but took the letter from him.

Third princess Xiliang Feiyue saw the ordinary looking letter and looked at him worriedly, “Make sure there aren’t any traps.”

“Don’t worry, it’s fine.” He grew up drinking medicine so his nose was very sharp.

If there was poison, he would’ve sniffed it out.

When he opened the letter, Shu Yunyan’s originally calm heart suddenly shrank.

After reading word after read, his pale face had an unreadable expression on it.

Xiliang Feiyue saw that his expression wasn’t right and couldn’t help but ask, “Is there something wrong?”

Shu Yunyan shook his head but then nodded his head, “Our plans, might have to change.”

Then he looked at one of his subordinates, “Go, get the fifth prince for me!”

“Yes!” The subordinate quickly left.

Xiliang Feiyue didn’t understand, “Prime minister, why are you looking for fifth brother?”

“There’s something to talk to him about.”

TL note:  

I just read the saddest ending to the arc. The MC killed all of her loyal subordinates and generals in this female dominated because the male lead wanted to be emperor, even though he was a man. So she wiped out all of his obstacles and then died so he could be emperor.

But when she died, he realised that he didn’t want to be emperor, he just wanted to be with her and he was just so pitiful.
