Chapter 66.2 - Underground black market

He paused meaningfully before Feng Yi and Feng Si both shook their heads and quickly walked away.

Feng Er rubbed his head and blinked confusedly twice, Miss Lou?

After half a day, he thought of his master’s expression just then as well as Feng Yi and Feng Si’s words, before finally realising.

Lou Qingwu followed Feng Yege out of Qingge little building and onto the already prepared horse carriage.

A few men clad in black satin lined gowns that she’d never seen before, stood to the side of the carriage.

She saw them lift up the carriage’s curtain and gesture for them to get on.

After an hour, the carriage stopped at the capital’s largest underground black market.

Lou Qingwu sat inside the carriage, her fingers lightly lifting up the curtain as the underground black market’s lofty doors entered her eyes.

The golden gilded signage was intimidating and luxurious as the pure black marble animals to either side bared their teeth and raised their claws, incredibly intimidating.

Lou Qingwu’s eyes fell on the four large characters on the sign and froze, “What are we doing here?”

Feng Yege followed her eyes and as his mask covered half of his face, his expression couldn’t been seen clearly.

He spoke clearly and coldly but extremely patiently, “There’s an auction today and inside, there’s something that you’ll like.”

“What is it?” How could he be so sure?

Feng Yege’s mouth curled, his perfect lips curling into a smile, “The previous dynasty’s Su Yi’s godly painting as well as the Youli sword.”

Hearing these peculiar names, Lou Qingwu suddenly lifted up her head as her eyes couldn’t help but sway a bit, “You …”

How did you know?

She wanted to ask but it stopped at the tip of her tongue, and she couldn’t ask the rest of the question.

As if seeing the question in her eyes, Feng Yege’s eyes flowed with warmth.

“If you want to help Xiahou Rui snatch the position of the crown prince, then these two objects can’t fall into other people’s hands.”

To an ordinary person, the previous dynasty’s Su Yi’s godly painting as well as the Youli sword weren’t worth much.

And as her muddied and confused life ended, she didn’t even realise that Feng Yege was the person who had truly brought her out of her troubles.

At that time, she thought it was only a coincidental encounter.

But in this lifetime, she knew that Feng Yege was that person and now that she knew, maybe it hadn’t just been a coincidence.

When he spoke, his tone was 30% mocking and 70% teasing.

Ostentatious Jade - if you can remember, is the medicine that was left behind for LQW and Thousand face jokingly tried to keep the bottle

Youli sword- you (travel/drift) li (away) but drift away sword sounds dumb.

Godly painting - “miao bi dan qing” - miao (shen miao - godly) bi (brush) dan (red cinnabar) qing (green) or (dan qing) painting, so it’s a godly/talented painting (I had to google this so here’s some useless trivia that is 0% applicable, it’s also a game item)

Su Gelao - Ge Lao - is an old title for the chief assistant for the court’s inner cabinet. His last name is Su and Ge Lao is his title. I’m too lazy to separate them into two words so I’m following what I do with every other name and putting the title together - bite me.

Mocking - the original phrase is more like a mean teasing - like sadistic joking? I'm having a total mind blank.

My heart broke a bit because it’s kinda like those people who confess on April fools, they confess jokingly in case they get rejected, but they’re actually serious ahhhh
