Chapter 187.2 - Scheming heart
Just thinking about how her big revenge was about to be taken, Ruan Zhen revealed a strange smile.
“Father, are you sure?” Lou Qingwu asked, as if she couldn’t see everyone else’s expressions.
She only asked in a mild manner.
“Your father is already old and it seems like I can’t manage you, countess, so it’s best for the emperor to decide!”
“Good! I hope father remembers your words.” Lou Qingwu looked at him.
For a split second, Lou Qufeng slightly regretted his decision, wasn’t he being a bit cruel?
But just thinking about his unborn son, just dying like that, blood started to rise in him.
“Come, someone ---”
Just as he wanted to get someone to drag Lou Qingwu out, he saw Lou Qingwu walk in front of the old doctor to Chi Mei’er.
She laughed cruelly at him.
“Doctor? En?”
The old doctor didn’t know why but his expression slightly changed, “Ye-yes, eldest miss … do you have any orders?”
“No orders, I just wanted to know, are you really a doctor?”
“Eldest miss must be joking, this old doctor has been practising for decades, who would dare to be suspicious of this old doctor?” The old doctor heard this and immediately rebuked her, you could be suspicious of anything but his medical skills!
“Really?” Lou Qingwu looked at him, “But if you can’t even tell if something has actually miscarried, how can you call yourself a doctor?”
“You .. what?!” This old doctor was being mocked by a 15-16 year old young girl and immediately felt like he’d lost all face.
Just as he wanted to snap back at her, he started to think about what Lou Qingwu was actually saying.
He turned to look at Chi Mei’er, who had at some point, already stopped crying out in pain.
She only opened her eyes weakly, waiting quietly as her small face was pale.
The previous stomach pain had already rendered her powerless, so she could only lie down silently, not even able to lift up a hand
Finally noticing that everyone was looking at her, her eyes moved around before looking at Lou Qingwu, her eyes slightly guilty.
Lou Qingwu walked towards her and when she reached her, slowly lifted up the brocade quilt on her and supported her up.
She leaned her against the headboard of the bed and took a small medicinal pill and made her swallow it.
When she regained a bit of strength, under everyone’s strange looks, Lou Qingwu sat down on a chair.
“Ah? Why’s everyone so frozen? Keep fighting.”
“You … what did you just give the fourth madam to eat?” Lou Qufeng’s brows furrowed deeply but when he saw that there was nothing wrong with the fourth madam, apart from her looking a bit weak, he finally felt like something was wrong.
“Oh? Just a piece of ginseng so she can regain a bit of vitality.”
She spoke carelessly but made Ruan Zhen’s eyes bulge.
She glared at Chi Mei’er, not understanding why the red scorpion voodoo worm hadn’t activated yet?
Didn’t she already have a miscarriage?!
Maybe her eyes were too obvious but even Chi Mei’er felt her eyes on her, her delicate brows furrowing, “Big … big sister, you seem a bit … regretful …”
“Wh-what? How could I be regretful? I’m happy for Mei’er little sister, if the child is still there, that’s great!”
Ruan Zhen turned away, her fingers biting deeply into her palms.
Her eyes swept away, realising that she got too ahead of herself.
She completely forgot that Chi Mei’er only said that her stomach was hurting but she didn’t see any blood.
If the child was truly miscarried, then how could there not be blood?
She believed too much in the voodoo worm, and didn’t even think about the possibility that Chi Mei’er could escape from it.
But exactly what happened, why did the voodoo worm stop working?
Lou Qingwu lifted up the brocade quilt again.
Seeing that there was nothing wrong with Chi Mei’er’s lower half of her body, Lou Qufeng jumped in shock.
Then he cried out in joy before angrily turning to the old doctor, “Exactly what happened with you? There was clearly nothing wrong, why did you suddenly say that the fourth madam’s child was miscarried?!”

DeleteI don't think they are that many villains who manage to get on my nerves as much as the ones in this novel. Yes the villains are irritating in other novels as well but this author really has a way with filling your heart with anger.

No banquets planned so it's just the emperor being sneaky. He's too suspicious, if LQW dragged it out too publicly, it'd be too obvious that she's trying to frame RZ ๐ฃ๐ฃ
