Chapter 68.2 - Mu Cheng got into a car accident 1

Previously, there was a scene where she was supposed to be sick so for the sake of making it appear as real as possible, she starved herself for two days.

In those two days, she only drank a bit of water.

After those two days, that scene was very true to life.

When Tang Xiao recited her lines, she was very sickly.

After filming that, she dragged Mu Jin to go eat at a buffet with her and then because her stomach couldn’t suffer the shock of too much food after no food, she was hospitalised for two days.

During that period, Mu Cheng was busy doing other stuff so she strictly ordered Mu Jin to not tell Chief Ning or Mu Cheng.

She just didn’t know how it got leaked.

“And you want to get hospitalised how many times?”

Tang Xiao leaned in closer into his arms, hugging him.

Mu Cheng pulled her in.

“Next time I won’t. My acting skills aren’t great so I just wanted to make it more life-like.” Tang Xiao leaned against him and started to act spoilt.

She found that this method was super effective on Mu Cheng.

“Back then, why did you decide to enter into the entertainment circle?”

Could she answer, to sleep with you?

Mu Cheng saw her fall into a daze again.

He lowered his head down to kiss her lips, lightly biting her lip and murmuring, “En?”

“To get rich quick.” Tang Xiao answered honestly.

When she signed on with Chief Ning, she didn’t have to pay any commission/agent fees on her film takings.

So even if she only played one supporting role a year, she could pretty much rest for half a year and play half a year of games.

These kinds of peaceful days, really were perfect for her.

Mu Cheng laughed lowly, propping his chin on her head, “Tang Xiao, if you think this is too tiring. It’s fine if you just stayed the same. I can adjust my steps, so that you don’t need to come by my side, I can walk to you.”

She wasn’t very ambitious.

She had once dreamt about the type of lifestyle that Chief Ning had talked to her about.

An easygoing job, steady emotions, naturally forming a family, and then a lifetime of no worries.

But after she met Mu Cheng, her thinking changed.

She wanted to be with him.

So she wanted to try hard, she wanted to be ambitious just this once.

“Don’t spoil me too much. Chief Ning said it was hard enough for me to find some ambition, just this once. If you’re like this, you’ll crush it.” Tang Xiao mumbled.

Mu Cheng held her and rubbed her back.

Suddenly, a phone rang.

Mu Cheng grabbed his phone and took a look at the screen, his face suddenly darkened.

He kissed Tang Xiao’s forehead, “I’ll go get this call.”

“En.”

After entering into the bathroom for a few minutes, Mu Cheng hurried out of the door.

“It’s raining outside. When I get back, I’ll bring you dinner so don’t go outside.”

“En.” Tang Xiao nodded her head.

She didn’t know why but her heart suddenly felt a bit empty, as if something was about to happen.

Mu Cheng hadn’t been gone for long before Xiao Lin called, she was using Chief Ning’s family land line.

“Tang Xiao, what am I going to do …” She hadn’t even spoke before she heard Xiao Lin crying over the phone on the other side.

Tang Xiao immediately went alert, “What happened? Don’t cry, speak slowly.”

Xiao Lin sobbed a few more times, “I’m seeing blood, and I can’t get through to Chief Ning, what do I do …”

Tang Xiao had acted in a few melodramatic soap dramas, so of course she knew what that meant. “Is the driver there?”

“Not here.”

Tang Xiao flipped around for her car keys and slipped on a jacket.

She thought for a bit before grabbing a rug too, “Wait for a bit, I’m coming now.”
