Chapter 200.1 - Gaining his trust

Lou Qingwu bit down her lips, her eyes red as they were filled with hurt.

Xiahou Qing started to blame himself even more, “Don’t blame me, I know I’m wrong. I didn’t know that you’d use your own body to test the medicine, and suffer such grave injuries!”

Lou Qingwu lowered her eyes but her pale face still didn’t make a sound, as if she was silently rebuking him for her heartbreak.

“Seeing as how the third prince still doesn’t believe Qingwu, after this, Qingwu and the third prince … should maintain space between each other.”

“Qingwu …” Xiahou Qing froze, and just as he was about to speak, was interrupted by Lou Qingwu again.

“Third prince, I think, we should …” Her watery eyes lowered as she seemed to try and compose herself, her eyes growing dim, “We should temporarily have some space between us. This is a method I have written for healing the third prince’s body, it’s very detailed so I believe the imperial doctors should be able to understand. This is the antidote, so there should be no problem because … I’ve already tried it. Originally, I just wanted to give the third prince these, but … but, it seems like Qingwu has acted too brashfully.”

After speaking, she pressed against her chest and struggled to push herself up to leave the bed.

Her long strands of hair swayed with her movements, hiding her face.

“Qingwu?” Xiahou Qing called out, wanting to reach out to help her but she lightly dodged him.

“Third prince, I’ll take my leave.” Lou Qingwu’s head stayed lowered until the last moment when she looked up into his eyes.

The disappointment in them made Xiahou Qing’s heart beat quicker as he silently lowered his hands. “Qingwu, take care of your body. Another day, I’ll come and visit you at the Lou residence.”

Lou Qingwu walked very slowly away as when she heard this, her steps stopped before quickly continuing to leave.

When the door closed, Xiahou Qing’s face completely darkened.

He angrily slammed his table, shaking the tea cups on it.

“Ye Ji! Look at what you’ve done!”

When Ye Ji went to the Night Prince’s residence, she didn’t get to see Feng Yege but she did get mocked by Zi Li and kicked out.

Ye Ji’s face was dark as she returned to the third prince’s residence.

But when she thought of how Lou Qingwu would suffer at Xiahou Qing’s hands, her mood instantly brightened.

So she purposely didn’t return to her room, instead moving to the study room first.

She knocked on the door as she heard Xiahou Qing’s cold voice.

This meant that his mood was bad as her lips curled into a cocky smile.

Pushing the door to enter, she saw Xiahou Qing walked towards as her beautiful eyes were curving with laughter.

“What happened with the third prince? Did Qingwu little sister upset you? You still shouldn’t … AH!”

Ye Ji hadn’t even finished speaking before Xiahou Qing had already slapped her face.

Xiahou Qing didn’t slap her lightly, half of Ye Ji’s face had already swollen up.

“What exactly is wrong with you?!” Ye Ji’s expression changed completely, her eyes furious as she glared at him.

“What’s wrong with me? Just look at what you’ve done! Don’t think that just because you’re harbouring evil intentions, that everyone’s as evil as you! Qingwu was originally completely loyal to me but because of your words, picking at our relationship, you made her heart completely colden towards me! If she never talks to me again, just wait and see!” Xiahou Qing’s voice was even louder than hers as he shouted at her.

His face was so dark that it was almost as if he was going to eat her whole.

Ye Ji covered her face with her hand, not understanding what he was saying. “I’m picking at your relationship? Don’t forget, we are the ones on the same boat!”
