Her fingers touched the bottle longingly before she suddenly jerked backwards, as if she’d been electrocuted.

She placed the bottle of Ostentatious Jade back in its place before blowing the candle out.

In the end, she couldn’t bear to be that harsh.

The second day, Xiliang country’s ambassadors entered the capital and stayed at the best hotel in the capital, that the emperor had prepared for them.

This time, apart from the third princess Xiliang Feiyue, there was also Xiliang country’s youngest prime minister Shu Yunyan.

As for the fifth prince Xiliang Mubai who came even earlier than them, probably snuck in without telling the emperor.

But the empress dowager had personally sent her an invitation, so she couldn’t not go.

“Go prepare a facial veil.” Lou Qingwu thought for a moment before hatching a plan.

When Lan Bai fetched a veil for her, Lou Qingwu walked over to her vanity.

She wet a brush with some cinnabar and started to paint her face.

Not too long later, her face was covered in red dots, small and tightly packed together, she did look a bit frightening.
