Until the footsteps disappeared did Feng Yege lower his head and lazily flip a page.

A figure instantly appeared, in all black with gold lining.

His teasing tone was only met with a light glance from Feng Yege.
Li Yuan immediately shut up, pretending to cough once, “Don’t be so cold. I heard you were injured so I immediately stopped my business and came to look at you. When I saw you were fine, I, was deeply appreciative.”

He rubbed his nose, a bit embarrassed before spreading himself out on a nearby couch.
His peach blossom eyes glanced over and fell on the butterfly knot bandage on Feng Yege’s arm.

“Cold for what? Scared of what?” Feng Yege slowly closed his book, his cold eyes turning towards Li Yuan which made him shudder again.

“He didn’t want to kill me, he just wanted to get at Qingwu, he only wanted to give me a warning.” Feng Yege’s eyes were cold and ruthless.
“It’s .... him?” Li Yuan suddenly straightened up, shocked, “But how did he know you ….”

“Then you’re prepared?” Feng Yege’s expression was too cold, Li Yuan suddenly had a bad feeling.
“Chop off all the heads of the dark guards who came here and send them to him.”

Son worm, voodoo worm - you’ve probably read novels which have these but the mother worm controls the son worm.
LQW’s still slowly laying out her traps. Hopefully we’ll get some fish.

peach cutie!! I like the certain degree of realism here, now everyone is in love and willing to betray their loved ones for either main lead.. that always takes me away, the handling of feelings and loyalty really makes you care for everyone
The voodoo worms are quite popular so that's surprising. Basically there's the mother worm that gets kept by person A and the 'son' worm that gets put in person B. But normally the 'son' worm just does all the work and sometimes eats the person from the inside 😶

A lot of Chinese novels are extremely similar to each other which isn't surprising because there are just sooooo many web novels and a lot of authors are novice/do it part time. They also publish up to 6 chapters a day 💀
