Chapter 131.1 - Eve of the big wedding

Lou Qingwu left the tea house and the sun above her head was slightly hurting her eyes.

She lifted up a hand to shield her eyes and just as she was about to put her hand down, a figure bumped into her.

She lightly narrowed her eyes and helped them up.

“Thank you, miss.” A cold and clear but soft voice entered her ears, it was a pleasant voice.

Hearing this, she felt it was a bit familiar.

Lou Qingwu let go and a beautiful face entered her eyes, a beauty.

But when she saw that face, Lou Qingwu couldn’t help but laugh, “Miss Shangguan.”

Shangguan Yiyun froze and when she saw Lou Qingwu’s face clearly, was slightly shocked but thinking of something, she uneasily looked down, “Miss, Miss Lou, what, what a coincidence ….”

“Miss, we should head back.” The maidservant behind Shangguan Yiyun reminded her.

She didn’t recognise Lou Qingwu, she just thought it was an ordinary official’s daughter.

“En.” Shangguan Yiyun agreed and smiled gently at Lou Qingwu before turning to leave.

But at this time, Xiahou Rui and Xiahou Liuyun had chased up to them.

“Miss Lou!”

“Miss!”

Lan Bai was puffing as she ran in front of Lou Qingwu.

She looked at her uneasily.

She and Xiahou Liuyun were in the neighbouring room so they didn’t hear what was being said but her master had left soon after.

Then second prince began chasing after her so she and the seventh prince began running too.

However, they just saw her master chatting with another girl so she couldn’t help but take a second look at her.

When she saw it was Shangguan Yiyun, her eyes widened.

It can’t be that … much of a coincidence, right?

Xiahou Rui hadn’t seen Shangguan Yiyun, he was still thinking about what Lou Qingwu said to him in that room, he had a strange feeling about what she had said.

He didn’t have to choose between her and the throne, he could clearly …. get them both.

So why did she have to ask him to ….

But before he was able to go to her and ask, he heard a soft and gentle voice call out, “Second, second prince?”

Xiahou Rui furrowed his brows, turning to the side to look at Shangguan Yiyun.

But he looked at her for half a day and still couldn’t remember her, he had no idea who she was, “You …”

Xiahou Liuyun was also so scared he nearly squealed.

When Xiahou Rui spoke, he quickly tugged his sleeve, “Second brother, this is my future second sister-in-law!”

But, he didn’t know if it was his misgiving but he felt like when his second sister-in-law looked at his second brother, she looked slightly uneasy and panicky.

Xiahou Rui’s handsome face stiffened, his lips pursing together tightly.

Behind Shangguan Yiyun, her maidservant jumped in shock, hurrying to greet him, “Second prince!”

But her eyes were even more panicked than Shangguan Yiyun’s.

Lou Qingwu took in both of their expressions, her eyes slightly narrowing.

She swept her eyes at the second level of the teahouse and saw a quickly moving figure dart between the rooms, her eyes billowing.

“It seems like Miss Shangguan came here purposely to find the second prince, I’ll take my leave first.”

After finishing speaking, she slightly bent at the knees before turning around to leave.

Lan Bai hurried to follow, still feeling as if that Miss Shangguan’s expression wasn’t right.

When they had a fair distance between them, Lou Qingwu slowed her steps.

Behind her, Lan Bai quickened a few more steps and finally caught up.

“Master, why do I feel like Miss Shangguan’s face paled when she saw the second prince?”

“Because, she wasn’t here to see the second prince.”

“Ah? Why? Then who is she here to see?” Lan Bai didn’t understand.

If she wasn’t here to see the second prince, then why would Miss Shangguan come to the teahouse, such a messy place?

Even though a lot of other misses would come here too, but they were on the eve of the second prince’s marriage.

As the second prince’s future consort, shouldn’t she be spending her time in her boudoir, waiting for the marriage?

“....” Lou Qingwu didn’t reply to Lan Bai’s question.

She of course, knew who Shangguan Yiyun was here to see.
