Chapter 143.1 - Ten days to the deadline
Lou Qingwu looked away and walked towards Feng Yege’s room.
She knocked on the door but no one replied.
She raised a brow before thinking for a moment and just pushing open the door.
Inside, she saw Feng Yege reclining on the couch, eyes on his book and not even raising an eye at her entrance.
Lou Qingwu rubbed her forehead as she walked towards him and took away his book.
Feng Yege then looked up at her with his phoenix eyes, watching her as his thin lips slightly parted, “It’s hard for you remember to come.”
His cold voice didn’t reveal his emotions but Lou Qingwu knew he was upset.
“I heard from the housekeeper that you haven’t eaten all day?” Lou Qingwu decided to change the topic to a less dangerous one.
Feng Yege looked at her deeply but didn’t continue his previous topic, paused before speaking, “No appetite.”
Lou Qingwu didn’t believe him as she took out her medicine box and began to change Feng Yege’s medicine.
Feng Yege was cooperative as he sat up, using his lowered eyes to look at Lou Qingwu.
Seeing how earnest she was, his gloomy mood immediately disappeared like smoke.
After changing his medicine, Lou Qingwu put down her medicine box on the table.
From the corner of her eye, she spotted a pastry box and raised a brow.
“What is this?” Didn’t he say he had no appetite?
Feng Yege slowly took back his injured hand.
When he heard her speak, his eyes slowly looked up at her and then at the pastry box, “I don’t know.”
Lou Qingwu: “......”
As if he could see what Lou Qingwu was thinking, Feng Yege added, “”Someone else” sent it.” Strongly emphasising “someone else”.
His cold tone adding on his pursed thin lips made it seem, no matter from what angle, that he was complaining, saying, “see how someone else is a lot more diligent than you.”
Lou Qingwu lightly glanced at him, ignoring his complaining eyes, “Oh? Who sent it?”
Feng Yege looked at her a few more times, his eyes growing dark as he darkly spit out, “Ye Ji.”
Lou Qingwu froze before raising a brow, then expressionlessly turning around to look at the exquisite box of pastries.
Her wrist lifted up to open it and instantly, she was hit with a fresh aroma. There was a few plates of fresh and intricately made snacks, with a goblet of soup in the middle.
When she opened the goblet, she saw it was “ginseng and silky fowl bone soup”, it really was good for healing injuries.
She sighed, “Hundred fortunes building’s top class food, it does look good.”
“Junior sister … is very clear.” Feng Yege looked at her, “Seeing as junior sister thinks it’s good, you can eat it.”
“That’s not good, after all, this is a token of Miss Ye Ji’s feelings.”
“But senior brother has no appetite and I don’t want to let down her feelings.”
“Then if it’s like that …” Lou Qingwu lowered her eyes, “Then junior sister won’t be courteous.”
Feng Yege’s eyes brightened, his lips slowly curving.
Lou Qingwu really wasn’t polite at all.
She saw Ruan Xiuren in the morning and then with Shangguan Yiyun’s affair, was stuck outside before finally being able to head home.
When she did, she then remembered that there was this Buddha here.
So now she really was hungry as she slowly moved the plates of pastries and soup away from Feng Yege and began to eat.
Feng Yege had some time ago, returned to his reclining position on his couch as he picked up his book and starting reading, occasionally turning to look at Lou Qingwu.
As if watching her was able to help him read.
She was eating happily, which made him happy and not too long later, his eyes were a lot brighter, with a hint of laughter that even he didn’t catch.
Right until Lou Qingwu finished eating did he slowly sit up and watch her sip some tea, “Are you full?”
“En, it really was good.”
“But …”
“En?” Lou Qingwu turned to look at him. “What does senior brother want to say?”
Feng Yege got off his couch, his long legs walking towards her before bending to look into her eyes, “But senior brother’s hungry, what should I do?”
“... “Lou Qingwu silently turned to look at the empty plates and goblet, is he playing around?

ReplyDeleteAhahahaha, I guess Ye Ji's useful in a way. ... Gave FY the perfect excuse to see LQW "be jealous" and eat up all her offerings as well as allow him to act spoiled with her :P
