Chapter 5.1 - Return of Ziqing



Official Tan followed his line of sight and saw a girl bathed in what seemed to be heavenly light. He became completely dumbstruck.

What a beautiful woman, crystal like eyes that were dark like a small animals, paired with her gentle gaze made her extremely loveable. Subconsciously, he remembered Li Jingsheng’s question and hazily shook his head, “No, no, I don’t know who she is.” If he knew her previously, he’d definitely get to know her better.

Li Jingsheng looked at him disdainfully and snorted. He straightforwardly lifted his chin at one of the people by his side, “Go, grab that person over here!” It was obvious from the girl’s presence that she wasn’t from some small family so from her appearance and the feeling she gave off, as well as the fact that she had been standing so still the whole time, was definitely suspicious!

His manservants received his command and immediately went towards Lou Qingwu.

Lou Qingwu didn’t move, she just looked towards Li Jingsheng and seeing the suspicion and unfamiliarity in his eyes, innocently blinked at him. What to do, it seems like he’s forgotten her. For some reason, she felt really unhappy?

She rubbed her face, did she have the face of someone who could be easily forgotten?

But, he did come here early than she expected.

It was a pity though because before anyone reached Lou QIngwu, there was suddenly a sound from outside the governor’s office, “Second brother!”

Hearing this, everyone turned towards the sound and when they saw the person’s face, everyone’s bodies went cold. They all stepped back a few steps and opened a large walking space.

Li Jingsheng strangely looked at the Li Ziqing who appeared suddenly, and for a second, forgot about grabbing Lou Qingwu.

He furrowed his brows as he looked at Li Ziqing and turned around to face the suddenly pale Official Tan. He humphed, “This is my so called dead brother? So who is the person standing in front of me right now?”

“...” Official Tan paled even more and couldn’t get a single word out.

Back to life … really, he came back to life!

Li Jingsheng didn’t bother with him any more and stood up to greet Li Ziqing. He looked him up and down before casually lifting up a sleeve. There he saw the birthmark, three inches underneath his elbow and used his fingers to rub at it. Then he was able to believe it was really him.

“Ziqing, you scared your second brother to death. I really thought something happened to you!”

“How, I’m fine aren’t I?!”

“If nothing’s happened, that’s good. Where did you disappear off to?”

“Went to a brothel and accidentally overdid it and slept till now. Second brother, don’t ask about this. It’s so annoying. We haven’t seen each other in so long. How’s dad? How’s big brother? When I woke up and heard the news, I rushed here immediately. These people are so dumb. I was happily drinking wine and unknowingly, these people started to spread rumours that I was dead? They made me have to crawl away from my girls! Hmph, despicable. Second brother, you definitely have to let father capture them all!”

Li Jingsheng listened and agreed, his eyesight following on that familiar and brash face. Then he was able to completely let go of his guards, rubbed his head, “Next time, don’t cause a fuss. Father still doesn’t know about this so we’ll talk about it when we get back.”

This place was still, a public place so it wasn’t a good place to talk about personal things.

He still had a lot of things to ask him as he felt like this wasn’t such a simple affair.

Li Ziqing continued to answer as he rubbed his neck. He felt tired, for some reason, he felt his whole body was really heavy, really, really heavy. But when he turned his head and saw the Lou Qingwu who wasn’t far away, he suddenly yanked Li Jingsheng’s arm. Excitedly, he called out, “Second brother, wait for me!” As he finished speaking, he hurriedly ran to in front of Lou Qingwu and when people saw him, they immediately stepped a few steps back. They looked at him warily.
