Chapter 122.2 - Pour bewitching potion

Lou Qingwu leisurely sat down, smiling at Xiahou Qing, “Where did we get up to?”

“Oh, I was talking about that girl Ye Ji, she’d gotten sealed as a countess so she wanted to share the news with you, Qingwu.”

When Lou Qingwu heard him call her “Qingwu”, she raised a brow.

It seemed like he really was good at taking advantage of every single gap.

Furthermore, she really didn’t believe that he couldn’t see through that Lan Bai was a fake.

He’d probably known from early on, so he purposely bewitched Lan Bai to try and find out about her past.

She’d made a mistake today.

She just didn’t think that he’d actually choose this time to come.

If it was just Lou Qufeng or anyone else, Lan Bai wouldn’t have had a problem pretending to be her.

But if it was this fox in front of her, no way.

However, if he wanted to pretend like he hadn’t noticed, she’d be happy to play along.

Wasn’t it just a way of addressing her?

It didn’t make a big difference to her.

She looked down, hiding a cold flash in her eyes.

When she evened out her emotions, she looked up at the gentle looking man in front of her.

“Last time, I heard the third prince mentioned that Miss Ye Ji wanted to learn from my medical skills. What about today, let’s go now?”

She really wanted to see this godsister of his that he kept mentioning to her and exactly what he wanted to gain from it.

She didn’t believe that he’d actually come to the Lou residence so many times, just to purely mention that his godsister wanted her to visit his residence.

In her previous lifetime, she’d never heard of such a godsister.

A light flashed in Xiahou Qing’s eyes and when he heard this, his laughter grew deeper, “That’s perfect then. I believe that Ye Ji will be glad to see you too, Qingwu.”

“Then let’s go.”

Lou Qingwu’s expression was calm.

She turned around and walked ahead of him.

She didn’t need to turn around to feel his eyes on her because they stayed on her and didn’t move at all.

Unconsciously, her eyebrows began to furrow.

Even though she tried her hardest to forget about what happened in her past lifetime, the moment that she closed her eyes, she could see Xiahou Qing and Lou Lianxin looking down at her with contemptuous expressions from above at her.

It still made her hands grip tightly into fists, her small face coldening as her bones felt increasingly cold.

Xiahou Qing didn’t live in the palace, instead, he had his own simple residence that was separate to everything else.

Furthermore, Feng Yege’s Night prince residence wasn’t too far away either.

When she reached the third prince’s residence, what took Lou Qingwu by surprise was that Xiahou Qing’s supposed godsister Ye Ji, wasn’t there at all.

When they asked the servants, they found out that she left in the morning.

Lou Qingwu raised a brow, standing in disbelief.

Xiahou Qing’s back faced her as he spoke to the housekeeper.

She couldn’t see his face but she’d been by his side for eight years so she only needed to see his back to see whether he was happy or angry.

Especially when she saw his right index finger subconsciously press down on his clothes, that was the movement that he did when he was thinking about something.

Lou Qingwu narrowed her eyes.

It seemed like he hadn’t planned this out with Ye Ji beforehand.

She didn’t know what Xiahou Qing said to the housekeeper but when he turned around, his expression went back to normal.

He smiled appropriately, “Look at that girl, I told her to stay obediently in the residence but she just ran off like that. It’s getting late too, so why don’t we find another place outside to continue our conversation from before? We can wait for that girl to get back and I’ll let the servants pass on a message that we’re waiting for her?”

Lou Qingwu looked at him deeply.

Slowly, she innocently laughed, “Okay.”

He had a perfectly good residence, but wanted to go outside?

Xiahou Qing, what are you planning?

TL note:

Godsister - I feel like this is better than sworn sister because sworn kinda has a more masculine feel. Ye Ji and XHQ’s relationship is more like close enough to be related but they aren’t related, and it’s not romantic at all.
