Chapter 123.2 - She’s injured

After she finished speaking, she seemed to have heard the zither sound again.

She quickly turned her head around to look outside the window, “Ah, it seems like someone’s playing the zither. It sounds beautiful, why don’t we go take a look?”

If she stayed with Xiahou Qing for a minute longer, she was afraid that she’d be unable to restrain herself and hit him.

Xiahou Qing saw her nervous she was and knew that he’d achieved his aim today.

He didn’t fret, looking outside the window with her.

When he saw a pleasure boat stopped outside, a strange light flickered in his eyes, “Okay, let’s go take a look.”

When Lou Qingwu and Xiahou Qing reached the Huai riverbed, a pleasure boat just seemed to pass by.

Xiahou Qing rented one and went up with Lou Qingwu inside.

The boat rocked with the water as Lou Qingwu turned her head to side to look out the window.

She was closer to the zither sound so it became clearer.

The cool zither sound seemed to be somewhat familiar so she followed the zither sound and found the pleasure boat, “Let’s go that way.”

Where Lou Qingwu couldn’t see, the laughter in Xiahou Qing’s mouth grew deeper, “Okay. Boat driver, navigate the boat to that side.” Xiahou Qing pointed towards the boat where the zither sound was coming from.

Lou Qingwu seemed to have fallen into the sound of the zither as her eyes gently looked down.

Her beautiful profile gave off a calm sense of beauty.

The sunlight fell on her face and made her seem like a fantasy.

Xiahou Qing couldn’t help but watch her, suddenly remembering the song <Conscious difference> from the pink hibiscus viewing performance.

His eyes fell on the zither not too far and placed it in the table in front.

His long fingers plucked the strings, lightly as the song <Phoenix looking for phoenix> began to play.

When Lou Qingwu heard the song, she instantly froze.

She turned to face the Xiahou Qing who was playing very still, very concentrated.

His dark blue silk brocade gown made him look even more jade-like.

When he didn’t smile, his face was solemn and domineering.

But when his mouth slightly turned up, it brought a boyish handsomeness to his face.

It was this type of Xiahou Qing and that song <Phoenix looking for phoenix> that had captured her moved heart, to make her willing to go from one end of the earth to the other for the rest of her life.

It was only a pity that his love wasn’t worth anything for him to be able to throw it away at the drop of a hat.

Lou Qingwu watched him silently.

Her slightly dazed expression made it seem like she was infatuated by the song.

Xiahou Qing’s smile grew deeper when he saw her, his eyes smiling gently at her.

It was like a pair of lovers, looking deeply at each other, as if the girl in front of him was someone he was chasing after, infatuated with.

It was only a pity …

That the girl in front of him had long lost her heart.

In a place where Lou Qingwu couldn’t see, the two pleasure boats floated close together.

In the opposite boat, a man was lazily holding a cup of wine.

When he heard the song <Phoenix looking for phoenix>, he carelessly gazed across but when he saw the male and female pair looking at each other deeply, his dark pupils shrunk.

His eyes darkened as his whole aura seemed to grow violent.

Not too far away from that man, a stunningly beautiful girl in all red sat at a zither, her hands playing until the very end when she carefully pulled her hands away.

The zither slowly stopped.

But it wasn’t known whether she did on purpose or not, but when her fingers pulled away from the zither, it sliced her finger.

Blood dripped from the wound as she looked pitifully at the man.

Her large and exquisite eyes sparkled at the handsome man in front of her, “Brother Ye, I’m injured …”

TL note:

<Phoenix looking for phoenix> - very famous song, usually played by a man who is in love with a woman. The two words for phoenix are different, the first ‘phoenix’ is masculine whereas the second is the feminine version of ‘phoenix’.

So who’s the **** with my man, Feng Yege????
