Chapter 29.2 - Attending Wind blows pants’ wedding 3
TN note: the Great Compassion Mantra is a Buddhist sutra so when sung, it’s like people chanting and speaking in tongues. Keep this in mind.

Xiao Lin suddenly felt like Tang Xiao was really pitiful, to get shot even lying down like that.
“Maybe my … boss …. Also has a split personality?” She really couldn’t keep track of her lies!!
She was about to get caught!!
Xiao Lin gripped her phone.
Whoever called her right now, would be her saviour!
Even if it’s calling to tell her to repay a debt, that’s okay too.
This emperor palmed his forehead, “Let me think, how do I reply to that?”
“Xiao Lin, you can go check up on Tang Xiao, she’s been gone for a while.” Mu Cheng spoke at just the right time to help her out.
XIao Lin was like as if she’d been pardoned from a death sentence.
Mu Cheng then added, “Go to her room to find her. She’s probably back at her room.”
When Xiao Lin went back to their room, she indeed saw Tang Xiao hugging the toilet with a face of total regret.
Other people would hug the toilet and sing sad songs, or some other distinctive styled songs.
Or at least, there’d be non-mainstream songs like “you finally became someone else’s mistress”, a dirty song.
But Tang Xiao didn’t.
She didn’t sing a sad song or a non-mainstream song.
When Xiao Lin pushed open the door, she heard Tang Xiao singing the Great Compassion Mantra.
Xiao Lin froze on the spot, f****!
You’re the most flashy!
If she didn’t know, she’d think that Buddha was delivering all creatures from suffering from the bathroom.
“F***, what are you doing?” When had Xiao Lin ever seen Tang Xiao look like she was about to become an immortal?
She could even slightly feel as if even the toilet that Tang Xiao was hugging gave off some faint Buddhist light.
“I feel like I’ve committed too many sins, I need to atone for them. I need to transcend myself.” Tang Xiao spoke seriously, her phone was still playing ‘The Great Compassion Mantra’.
The atmosphere was weird.
Xiao Lin suddenly didn’t know how to comfort her.
“Actually, I think this is a good thing! Weren’t you always talking about how you liked Mu Cheng? Now, he’s your husband online! You should cherish the opportunity to make it happen in real life too!”
Once she spoke to there, Tang Xiao was in even more despair.
She even continued to sing along a few phrases of the Great Compassion Mantra, with a bit of a sobbing tone.
“Cherishing this opportunity wouldn’t make it happen in real life, it’d only make more hatred. I haven’t even gotten him to feel any good feelings for him so once this is exposed, he’d definitely kill me.”
“Don’t worry, there’s always Chief Ning.”
“Right, there’s Chief Ning.” Tang Xiao was even more despondent, turning up the volume of the Great Compassion Mantra.
“Don’t worry, there’s always Chief Ning.”
“Right, there’s Chief Ning.” Tang Xiao was even more despondent, turning up the volume of the Great Compassion Mantra.
“Chief Ning wants to kill me too. Let them fight and then whoever wins can kill me.”
She looked tearily at the toilet, deeply emotional, “Go, just say that I’ve fainted in the toilet.”
“Then you’d definitely get in the headlines. In a certain hotel, an actress was found unconscious on a toilet. Was it a crime of passion, murder or suicide? Was it a moral degenerate, lack of humanity or some exchange that can’t be spoken about?”
Tang Xiao: ……
From the left over $300, she pulled out $100 to put back into her own pocket.
Xiao Lin suddenly realised that she spoke wrongly.
She copied Tang Xiao’s teary eyes as she looked at the $200 in her hands.
“I helped you lie for so long and you only gave me $200?”
“Now you know how much pain I’m in. So, I can only find someone to accompany me in misery.”
Xiao Lin: Your mom.
Xiao Lin: Your mom.
She still had to go down after all.
When Tang Xiao left, her face went from teary to ●—●.
When she returned to her seat, Wind blows pants and Japanese Rose all seemed extremely moved.
“Right, the sound guys wanted me to ask you, what song do you want to sing?” Wind blows pants was excited as he looked at Tang Xiao.
This girl was even prettier than her photos.
Tang Xiao was confused for a moment, subconsciously blurting out, “Great Compassion Mantra?”
Wind blows pants froze, “What?”
Xiao Lin pinched Tang Xiao’s hand, “This is a great day!”
So don’t decide to deliver all creatures from suffering today!
Let Buddha have a rest!
“Otherwise, I might actually be able to live for another five hundred years?”
Wind blows pants: ….
Xiao Lin: ….
Tang Xiao: “Wrong, wrong, wrong, it was all my fault?”
Wind blows pants: ….. Are you sure you’re not here to break up my wedding?
As her assistant, at this time, Xiao Lin had to quickly be Tang Xiao’s common sense.
“How about ~ you and Mu Cheng sing together, that ‘wifey’ song?” Xiao Lin suggested.
“I can only sing one word, wife.” Tang Xiao was very honest.
“How about Spirit Road’s theme song?” Mu Cheng asked.
Tang Xiao nodded.
Wind blows pants turned around to head towards the sound people.
Tang Xiao sat down again and didn’t dare to look at Mu Cheng.

TL note:
I can't even imagine TX hugging a toilet and singing a Buddhist mantra omg.
There’s lots of versions of the Great Compassion Mantra and it’s quite popular in central Eastern Asia. Here’s one version:
Leave a comment and follow for a touching duet xx

Heh. It’s surprising that Chief Ning found someone like Xiao Lin to take care of someone like Tang Xiao. Isn’t he afraid they would collectively sell him out with his company?
ReplyDeleteChief Ning's too scary. Xiao Lin and Tang Xiao can barely look him in the eye without being revealed like instantly. (Xiao Lin also comes from a rich family, surprisingly) 💓💓
DeleteI assume Xiao Lin wasn't like this when she was hired. Alas, Tang Xiao influenced her more than she influenced Tang Xiao...
DeleteYou've unwittingly discovered the truth. Xiao Lin wasn't like this at all in the beginning, TX's a disaster 😂😭
DeleteWill TX's cover get blown with the rest of the guests? Or will only MC know and continue to torment her? XDD
ReplyDeleteMu Cheng's not that mean, he only torments her for himself to enjoy 💗💗
DeleteI have never seen ●—● before in a C-novel!!! Hahaha!!
ReplyDeleteThe author adds little emoticons every now and then 👀👀
DeleteAyyy it's Baymax
DeleteI knew it looked familiar 🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️
DeleteOmg, i laugh so hard when she was praying it and want to ascend to the other world
ReplyDeleteThank you
It was hilarious reading it in Chinese because my grandma's fond of the Great Compassion Mantra so it was surprising as hell to see someone like TX sing it 😭😂
DeleteI am unclear on why she is so scared about her real identity being known
ReplyDeleteIs she worried about her reputation because she was self promoting, when hiding behind another identity online - like asking for votes? Or because she was lusting after the ML, not realizing who he is, both online and in real life?
This novel is pretty damn hilarious and I hope the author also shows the MLs point of view as the FL comes up with all her lies
Thanks for translating
Her biggest reason is Chief Ning, followed by her reputation and then Mu Cheng knowing. There's a previous scene where Chief Ning effectively black listed a popular singer for disobeying him and he only wants obedient artists under him. One of his rules is for his artists to not drink or play games - TX does both (as well as something else which I'm forgetting).
DeleteThe things that TX does as Tang poem aren't exactly great either. She's a girl playing as a male character who flirts with other girls and talks dirty. China isn't exactly liberal and is quite conservative in some areas. She'd be crucified about either not having morals or possibly being a lesbian. The other shameless things she does is just an added plus.
TX also adores Mu Cheng and she even puts on an innocent and clean facade for him but her persona Tang poem is anything but. So it's in TX's best interests to hide her identity as Tang poem, especially if she wants to become popular enough to compete with Su Bai for Mu Cheng's affections and to be seen as someone who's worthy of standing next to Mu Cheng 💪💖💖
Tang Xiao's reaction is just hilarious hahahaha I hope she realizes soon enough that our ML already knows that Tang poem is her but still loves her just the way she is XD
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chapter^^
TX just goes through a denial phase before getting distracted and slowly forgetting how awkward it is that Mu Cheng knows who she is. Mu Cheng clearly loves her and everyone around them can tell 😍😩
DeleteShe could even slightly feel as if even the toilet that Tang Xiao was hugging gave off some faint Buddhist light. 555+
ReplyDeleteXiao Lin and TX are both incredible
Delete😂😂
Hahahahaha. I’m currently on the train as I read the last few chapters. Started laughing like... and heck care that i’m in publc. Lol, if only I can advertise the novel to others
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chapters
-JC-
When I first read this novel on the train, I got a few crazy looks because I was laughing so hard too 😳🙈
DeleteHi there hard-working translator! I love you very much! Mua. Let's be BFF! hahaha (A personal question): By the way, you mentioned 'speaking in tongues' Are a Christian?
ReplyDeleteI'm not Christian but I went to a Catholic primary school and an Anglican secondary school 👀👀
