ReplyDeleteYou might be able to make one person happy, but you're going to force the hand of everyone else connected to LQW and make a giant mess of things.
Let's see what's likely to happen... FY as the night prince has directly backed this person before and will most likely politically back one of the prince in a show of force to protest this if their relationship is close, Emperor is safe if he isn't close to her of course.
Both princes would DEFINITELY step up their game to make sure that they don't need to face yet another rival at the end of the day.
His back court is likely to get more lively as well since it's a young, fresh face that they need to contend with...
... I suppose no real overt damage is done with the exception of FY and he forces people to act out in the open, but I can't help but think this makes his job messier rather than easier.
The only one that might be remotely happy is the Empress Dowager since she didn't like how LQW traced some of the ploy back to her, but.... I don't think this is helpful either...?
Hmmm.... Dunno, my gut reaction says this is creating more issues than it's solving. Again mainly around FY's attitude. (whom btw, SURPRISE SURPRISE, IS MISSING, therefore, flag for FL to get bullied is raised.) :P
Hmmm, let's take a look.
DeleteXiahou Qing gets consort Ruan to get consort Ying to push for LQW to be a consort, delaying Xiahou Rui to become crown prince. This makes the emperor feel good and also like consort Ying more for being generous. +1 Xiahou Qing.
This also angers Xiahou Rui and Feng Yege. Xiahou Rui starts acting irrationally and might even call on the emperor for snatching his girl. Feng Yege follows his old path and leaves the capital because if LQW did become a consort, it would've been 100% her willing to do so. -1 Xiahou Rui and Feng Yege.
The emeperor's back court wouldn't be able to do much except do some small ploys and schemes, LQW is the left prime minister's after all. She definitely wouldn't be given a low position so she wouldn't be bullied too badly. The empress dowager doesn't approve of LQW so all the better for her because now LQW is her daughter in law and hers to bully.
Xiahou Qing would be a bit bitter about LQW but he'd just find girls who look similar to her. Xiahou Rui would be upset but again, would probably choose his brother and mother and just grin and bear it. Feng Yege would be a wildcard for Xiahou Qing but Feng Yege and LQW don't have an official relationship, they're just occasionally going to each other's houses.
LQW should be okay? She's been okay without Feng Yege lately 💗💗
Fair enough. Most of the mess would boil down to whether FY will make things hard, but as you said, on the surface, they don't have a strong relationship and below the surface, FY would probably respect LQW's decision even though he'll get heart broken. if he has more sense he'd give her hands to one of his kids, but then again
QW is too smart to be given to any imperial sons, might just make them next emperor
No such thing as a sensible emperor unless he's young and in love with the female lead. I'm sure consort Ying thinks that he's very sensible 😷😷
