Chapter 158.2 - Chasing a person for a thousand miles

“But ….” Feng Yi and the others all had scrunched up faces, this woman was too annoying to deal with.
They’d only slipped up for a second and she escaped all the way out here.
“Master, maybe you should do it. She has a dagger in hand too, we’re scared something will happen …”

Feng Yege’s coldness made the girl burst in fury, “Alright, you Fenge Yege! This is you forcing me! Just wait for your conscience to torment you for the rest of your life!” She suddenly took out the dagger in her bosom and held it against her neck.
Under the moonlight, the dagger gleamed, terrifying.
Feng Yege, “ ….”
Feng Yi, Er, San, “Master, what do we do?”
Feng Yege’s brows furrowed, “What exactly do you want?”
“I want to stay by your side. I don’t want to marry that whoever, go tell my dad! Otherwise, I’ll die in front of your eyes!”
“Master, what do we do?”
“.... Zi Li, I won’t interfere with anything he decides.”
“But right now, if you speak out, my dad will listen to you. I’m begging you, just help me this one time, I don’t want to marry anyone!” The girl’s eyes grew teary, as if she was truly in pain.
Feng Yege’s eyes narrowed as he thought for a moment before after a while, raised his hand.
The girl viciously bit down on her lips as resolve flashed in her eyes, she quickly raised up her hand ---
“Be careful, she might swallow poison!” Suddenly realising what she was doing, Lou Qingwu shouted.
Feng Ye quickly tried to grab her but he was a bit too slow.
The girl that Feng Yege called ‘Zi Li’ had already swallowed half of the powder.
The poisonous powder entered her mouth and it quickly reacted, her head slumped as she spat out blood.
Feng Yege’s expression quickly changed.
Lou Qingwu turned to face him, seeing the worry in his face quickly flash by.
She jumped off the carriage, “Don’t worry, I’ll save her.”
She quickly walked in front of the girl and knelt down, feeling her breath.
Her breaths were weak, the poison was probably targeting her heart.
For the sake of confirming this, she felt her pulse and confirmed that it was ‘Lihua poison’.
The poison was strong and fast, if it wasn’t cured in an hour, her organs would break down and she’d die.
But it wasn’t incurable.
She took out a pill that could slow down poisons from her pouch and was about to give it to the girl.
But just as her hand reached in, the girl suddenly gripped her wrist as her blurry eyes looked in Feng Yege’s direction, “Pro-promise me … help me …”
Feng Yege’s eyes coldened before falling on the blood on her lips.
In the end, he slowly nodded.
Zi Li then was relieved, swallowing the antidote in Lou Qingwu’s hands.
Her head fell down again as she fell unconscious,.
Lou Qingwu expressionlessly took out two more pills and told Feng Yi the prescription for the antidote to the poison.
When she saw Feng Yi hold Zi Li and take her away to be cured, she finally turned around, “You’re not going?”
“Why should I go?” Feng Yege looked at her curiously.
“She did swallow poison for you, after all.”
“....” Feng Yege’s eyes grew dark, seemingly remembering something before he looked at Lou Qingwu with an indiscernible expression.
His thin lips curved, “You’re not going to ask me who she is?”
“No interest.” Lou Qingwu walked past him as she hopped on the second carriage, “I’m heading back first.”
“I’ll send you back.”
“There’s no need. Senior brother’s injured, you might as well take care of your injury first.”
When she walked past the first carriage and sat next to Lan Bai, she looked deeply at Feng Yege before lowering the curtain.
The curtain lowered and on Feng Yege’s darkening face.
It also suppressed what Lou Qingwu’s heart wanted to say.
Feng Yege helplessly rubbed his aching forehead.
Feng Shiyi used a small voice to ask him before he waved his hands, “Send Miss Lou back.”
“But … this ... , this subordinate will go now.”
Feng Shiyi took quick little steps to run over to the driver and replaced him.
He snuck one last glance at Feng Yege before seeing that his face wasn’t out of the ordinary.
He then raised the reins of the horse and drove the carriage towards the Lou residence.

Welp... let's see how this unravels (or more likely, gets more tangled up.)
