Chapter 149.1 - Day of the marriage

“Then what do you want me to do?” Ruan Zhen was frustrated as well. Lou Lianxin’s accusatory tone only made her even angrier.

“What do you mean, what do I want you to do? Mother, you said that you’d prepare a full and rich dowry for me! I don’t care, when I marry, I better see ten miles of wedding festivities!” Lou Lianxin’s mind was buzzing.

She was about to explode.

She couldn’t even begin to imagine what would happen to her if she didn't have a dowry.

Within the Leaning Wind Pavilion, Lou QIngwu was originally reclining on her couch and reading her novel when she suddenly sneezed.

Lan Bai immediately jumped forward and draped her with a coat.

“Master, it’s getting cold. Why don’t you head back inside to read?.”

“No need.” Lou Qingwu shook her head. She’d spent too long in her rooms, she’d grow tired.

Lan Bai still wanted to say something before a figure suddenly appeared behind her.

She patted her chest as she let out a breath, scared.

She glared at him, still angry about when he threw the human skin at her.

“Master, the Ruan family’s head gone to the guest house to find the Daoist priest, I told him to leave first.”

“En, did Ruan Zhen go to see Ruan Xiuren today?”

“She went, she went in the early morning. She probably didn’t fare well there because when she came back, her face was pitch black.” Thousand Face’s face in contrast, was like a spring breeze and just as proud.

Just thinking about Ruan Zhen’s face back then made him feel better.
