Chapter 176.1 - The day of coming back (after a wedding)

Lou Qingwu hadn’t been back at the Leaning Wind Pavilion for long before Thousand Face arrived.

“Master, the people we dispatched to follow Ruan Zhen said she went to the hundred year old medicine store.”

“Oh? What did she buy?

After all, to have such random people meet up, it really was too strange.

Thousand Face gaped at her before closing his mouth, “Master, you really guessed it right. It was Ye Ji but even more strangely, she called the second madam, ‘auntie’!”

“Oh?” Lou Qingwu’s eyes narrowed, “Auntie?”

“Yes, I thought it was strange too. According to logic, Ruan Zhen shouldn’t know Ye Ji so why would she call her auntie?”

“What else did they say?”

Afterwards, she left to the Lou residence and didn’t go inside the hundred year old medicine store.”

“Oh.” Lou Qingwu replied carelessly, but her eyes grew deep.

According to Ruan Zhen’s jealous nature, she was probably going to the medicine store to buy safflower but even if she didn’t, it’d be nearly impossible for her to change her plans.

So the only possibility was that Ye Ji gave her something that could induce abortions anyway, it’d definitely be something sly and devious.

Her eyes darkened, “Send someone to watch Ruan Zhen carefully, take note of her every action, until you find out what Ye Ji gave to her!”

“Yes!” Thousand Face had just planned to do so before suddenly turning around, “Master, if we send that thing to the Li family, would the right prime minister investigate it and find out that it was us?”

“He won’t find out. The first place he’d go to is Liyang town. And it happened not long ago so even if he flipped the whole Liyang town upside down, he’d still only be suspicious of Li Jingsheng.”

“Yes, I’ll follow the plan.” Thousand Face let out a breath of relief before leaving.

When Thousand Face left, Lan Bai walked in.

She’d already heard from Thousand Face what they wanted to do but she was still worried.

“Master, what if Li Jingsheng becomes suspicious of you? He’s the third prince’s person. What if the third prince becomes suspicious of you? Then wouldn’t all of this have been a big waste?”

“No, Li Jingsheng won’t link it back to me. Tomorrow, the only person he’ll be worried about is himself. After all, he’d be alright dealing with one thing, but if everything exploded at the same time … he definitely wouldn’t be able to handle it.”

“Ah?” Lan Bai froze. She was just about to ask something as her mouth opened before she closed it.

Lou Qingwu looked in front of her silently, sighing, “What’s happening with the second prince?”
