Chapter 56.1 - Uh oh, hit the wrong person 1

Chief Ning, in the end, found out that Tang Xiao and Mu Cheng became a couple.

As Tang Xiao’s boss and manager, Mu Cheng’s former boss, the dumb husky’s former owner, Chief Ning expressed that he was very unhappy.

Every time he spoke, it was thorny.

No one wanted to sit in Tang Xiao’s living room so they all went to temporarily occupy Mu Cheng’s living room for their own use.

Chief Ning came in the early morning.

His expression was bad as he sat in the smack middle of the couch.

He forced Mu Cheng back into his room as Xiao Lin sat next to him and Tang Xiao sat on the other sofa.

The atmosphere was a bit strange.

“Xiao Lin and I have decided to get engaged first.”

Tang Xiao’s eyes widened, quickly turning to look at Xiao Lin.

Xiao Lin nodded her head.

“So you hooked up with my assistant and you’re here to make things right now?” Tang Xiao said.

“This is only the first step. Our families will choose a day in the future.”

“Do you have anything else to say to me?” Chief Ning asked.

Tang Xiao looked at him blankly before shaking her head.

Chief Ning was about to die of anger.

Tang Xiao thought for half a day before suddenly, realisation dawned on her. “Give birth to sons early.”

Tang Xiao hesitated, “I won’t give you a stingy red envelope.”

Chief Ning’s face darkened.

“Don’t worry, even though I said I’d elope with Xiao Lin, it was all just a joke. As proof that I’m sincerely congratulating you, I can be your bridesmaid?”

Chief Ning still didn’t say anything.

Tang Xiao was especially scared of this type of scenario.

Even though the saying was that a woman’s heart was like finding a needle in the bottom of the ocean, she thought, that Chief Ning’s heart was like a grain of sand at the bottom of the ocean.

She thought for half a day but still couldn’t figure out what was wrong.

Tang Xiao then decided, “If that won’t work, I’ll be your groomsmen then. That way, you won’t worry about me stealing the bride.”

He helplessly pinched his forehead. “Tang Xiao, sometimes I think you’re just purposely trying to anger me to death.”

Tang Xiao couldn’t help but roast him inside, exactly who is angering who!

“When were you going to tell me that you and Mu Cheng are together?”

“Didn’t you know already?” Tang Xiao asked.

Tang Xiao then realised Chief Ning’s temper was about to reach its breaking point.

She suddenly became a little lackey, squeezing over to him and using a flattering tone, “Isn’t it just because you and Xiao Lin have such a good relationship, I thought that Xiao Lin would’ve told you.”

‘Xiao Lin’, those two words, made Chief Ning’s face slightly warm up.

“I thought that you’d plan to tell me after giving birth to Mu Cheng’s children.”

Tang Xiao’s face was bashful, “Annoying~ I haven’t even started yet.”

Chief Ning: ……..

“Are you two serious?” Chief Ning wasn’t joking anymore, he asked her seriously.

Tang Xiao nodded her head.

“You should know that I don’t approve of you two together. Liking each other and actually being together, are two different things.”

“En, but I know that if I miss my opportunity to be with him, I’ll definitely regret it. So I have to try it out. Previously, I didn’t like eating carrots but you kept forcing me to eat them. It was only after I’d tried them out that I found out that they were actually tasty.”

Chief Ning rubbed her head, “Decide for yourself then.”

“You can be together happily. But, your relationship can’t go public, it won’t be good for you.” Chief Ning’s brows furrowed, swallowing the last part of his words.

Tang Xiao was a bit curious, “Aren’t you going to try and stop me more?”

Chief Ning rolled his eyes at her, “When I told you not to get close to him, did you listen to me? Is there any point in trying to stop you? I’m too lazy to deal with you. Go be with whoever you like.”

Tang Xiao jumped over and started to act coquettish, “You can’t not deal with me.”

Mu Cheng came out of his room and just happened to see this, he coughed.

Tang Xiao guiltily jumped backwards.

Chief Ning stopped her and shot a provocative look at Mu Cheng, “Continue to speak, what comes after not dealing with you.”

“There’s nothing else.” Tang Xiao answered honestly.

Chief NIng continued to look at her.

Mu Cheng turned to look at her.

Tang Xiao suddenly felt lots of pressure.

Was this her misgiving!

Why did she feel like they were about to fight!

She suddenly grabbed Chief Ning’s hand and put it on Xiao Lin’s thigh, “You both definitely have to be happy together! From now on, good luck and work hard on making children! Quickly, go do it! Do it, dad!”

Xiao Lin: …..

Chief Ning: ……

Finally, they finally sent off Chief Ning.

Tang Xiao then let out a sigh of relief, “That, ah, I and Chief Ning ….”

Tang Xiao didn’t know how to explain it.

Mu Cheng lightly hugged her. “I know, I heard you speaking before.”

Tang Xiao quickly realised what he was talking about, what she and Chief Ning were talking about.
