Chapter 180.1 - Unable to restrain emotions

Lou Qingwu’s body slightly stiffened as she looked down, hiding the coldness in her eyes.

“Brother Ye?”

The handsome man just stood quietly to the side and didn’t speak.

His cold phoenix eyes swept the male and female couple who were leaning into each other.

His thin lips pursed together as he stepped towards them.

Not hearing the response she was expecting, Lou Qingwu looked up and accidentally met Feng Yege’s cold gaze.

Her chest suddenly felt uncomfortable.

Her fists slightly clenched together as she averted her gaze.

Feng Yege sat down leisurely, before seemingly remembering Ye Ji and raising a brow at her.

Ye Ji’s originally unhappy expression disappeared completely, she beamed at him.

“Brother Ye, I was just joking.”

“En.” He calmly spoke a word before growing silent again.

There were only four people in the whole pavilion but the atmosphere was so empty and cold that no one knew what to say.

Feng Yege’s freezing cold aura was hard to ignore.

Ye Ji bit her lip as she was about to speak but she was also scared that Feng Yege wouldn’t say anything in response.

Then that would just be embarrassing for her.

She originally thought that if Feng Yege was willing to come with her to the third prince’s residence, it meant that he liked her a bit.

But it seemed like that wasn’t the case.

Was he really just here for Lou Qingwu?

Once she thought of that possibility, she felt like her chest was being blocked up by something.

It nearly drove her crazy.

But she held it in.

The one who broke the strange silence was Xiahou Qing, who coughed.

He’d somehow touched his chest injury again or maybe it was because he was trying to break the silence, but he didn’t stop coughing violently for a while.

Lou Qingwu quickly turned around to help him soothe his chest, her actions were nimble and experienced.

Feng Yege watched them with dark eyes, the air around him growing even colder.

“Third prince, what is it?” Lou Qingwu seemed to not notice Feng Yege’s eyes on her as she turned her full attention to Xiahou Qing.

Sharp and numbing pain radiated from his chest before it turned into dead water, with no ripples.

“No, nothing …” Xiahou Qing sucked in a deep breath.

He seemed to have carelessly gripped Lou Qingwu’s hands, holding them inside of his hands as he calmed down.

Then, as if he had just noticed what he’d done, he suddenly let go of her hands.

He looked at her apologetically, “I’ve made you worry.”

“Third prince, don’t say that. Your body is the most important thing.” Her watery eyes were filled with concern, with no care for Feng Yege who was also sitting there.

Xiahou Qing’s heart seemed to beat faster.

It seemed like Lou Qingwu really didn’t care for the Night Prince.

Just thinking about how the handsome Night Prince isn’t as attractive to him, made pride swell up in his chest.

Even his expression grew better as he shot a look at the silent Feng Yege.

“So how did the Night Prince have time to come to this little prince’s residence? It really is my honour.”

“Really? It was just along the way.” He languidly looked at Xiahou Qing and Lou Qingwu, his eyes already regaining their usual calm.

Xiahou Qing clearly didn’t believe him.

The Night Prince clearly looked angry.

TL note:  

I just read a really twisted novel. The ending of the first arc was the male lead swallowing the female lead’s ashes so they’d never be separated, even in death.
