Chapter 55.1 - Complete method of shifting the blame continuously

Officially being with Mu Cheng, didn’t seem much different from how they usually were.

After Spirit Road’s broadcast finished, Mu Cheng and Tang Xiao became incredibly popular.

Qiao Yiqing’s movie teaser came out so they got a bit popular off that too.

There were a few scenes shown, one where Mu Cheng gripped a gun and rolled on the floor, like he was about to die.

Su Bai, as the female lead, had a lot of scenes too.

It wasn’t like her previously roles.

This time, she was more handsome and heroic, her fans were all shouting online: dominant, dominant!

Tang Xiao only appeared in the end of the teaser, a zoom in on her head turning to the side a bit and a slight smile.

Added with a slow motion capture, when she turned back, her eyes were glittering along with her light smile.

Even her hair as curved in the air, making her exceptionally beautiful.

It was hard enough for Chief Ning to actually compliment her for once: When you’re not being stupid, you don’t look half bad.

Afterwards, Tang Xiao being hacked in-game and eating grilled skewers with Mu Cheng, etc, etc, all of her dark gossip was being dug up.

“What are you sighing for? Everyone’s exclaiming at your dark history, saying ‘so cute, so cute.’” Xiao Lin held a tablet in her hands as she sat on Mu Cheng’s sofa and played games.

Tang Xiao was like her family’s dumb husky.

Apart from going to the bathroom and sleeping at her place, she spent most of her time by Mu Cheng’s side.

This also included her three meals and snacks, just like her dumb husky.

Tang Xiao sighed, “In high school, when I wrote essays, I liked writing and using Sima Qian as an example. Now I know, Sima Qian, in these few thousand years of being mentioned, how much he must have suffered. This is like my dark history, just looking back at it, I feel like I was a r*tard.”

Xiao Lin couldn’t help but roll her eyes, “This is all because of your pretty face.”

“You heard wrongly.”

“I was just about to say. Mu Cheng definitely doesn’t just like me for my pretty face, he likes me for who I am inside! I’m beautiful inside!” Tang Xiao’s face was proud.

“.....” Xiao Lin really didn’t know what to say.

Originally, Tang Xiao was shameless in game, but now she was shameless all over the real world too.

“Tang Xiao, help me see if that bag of goji berries is on the coffee table.” From the kitchen, Mu Cheng called out to her.

After Tang Xiao decided to diligently come to Mu Cheng’s place, he’d nearly make a sweet soup for her every afternoon.

Sometimes, it was white fungus and lotus seed, sometimes it was red wine and pear soup.

Every time Tang Xiao finished drinking it, she’d lie on the couch for a good while, rub her stomach and narrow her eyes, a face filled with satisfaction.

Mu Cheng liked seeing this expression on her, like he was raising a big puppy.

Tang Xiao searched around but didn’t see any goji berries, but there was an empty packet on the ground.

“Did you finish eating them?” Tang Xiao held up an empty bag to find Mu Cheng.

“I only bought them from the grocery store the day before yesterday, it was a huge bag.” Mu Cheng froze for  a moment before taking the bag from her hands.

Then his head started hurting.

“Tang Xiao, go take a look at your dumb husky. I don’t know if they’ll get sick if they eat goji berries.”

The bag had ragged edges where it was torn apart, clearly from a dog’s jaws.

Mu Cheng had raised his golden retriever for so long that he knew his own dog wouldn’t have such peculiar tastes.

“I don’t know when he would’ve eaten them either. It was still a huge bag yesterday afternoon. Go take a look, if he gets sick from it, we’ll have to see Doctor Xiao.”

Tang Xiao rushed around to find her dumb husky, even running through Mu Cheng’s balcony but she still didn’t see anything.

“It’s about time, Chief Ning has booked me in to play mahjong. I’ll go first.” Xiao Lin saw the time and grabbed her bags to leave.

Tang Xiao was still looking around for her dumb husky that had eaten a bag of goji berries.
