Chapter 101.2 - Meeting an old friend

Lan Bai was shocked as she looked at the Lou Qingwu who’d turned into a little white bunny.

She blinked and then cried out as well, “Who are you people? We’re from the Lou family, if you dare to hurt my miss, the prime minister definitely won’t let you guys get off easily!”

From outside, Xiahou Qing’s hand that was about to knock open the door paused, a strange smile flashing in his eyes.

She was indeed still a small girl.

Seeing how confident she was at the Kunning palace, he didn’t think that she’d be this scared here.

It seemed like his plan was proceeding smoothly.

He pushed open the door, sweeping his eyes and taking in the scene, Xiahou Qing’s face quickly changed.

His low and deep voice brought a bit of anxiety and comfort, “Miss Lou, don’t be scared. I’m here to save you!”

He finished speaking but didn’t walk any closer.

There was half the cabin between them as he looked at her gently and warmly.

If she was still a young girl who hadn’t experienced love before, in this one look, she might’ve had her heart melted.

Xiahou Qingwu wore a deep golden silk brocade gown, his eyes and face clear, his voice pleasing to the ear and the warmth in his eyes could’ve melted anyone’s suspicions.

Lou Qingwu slowly opened her eyes, the small uneasiness in her eyes rolled around, like a rabbit that’d been scared by the people far away from her.

At the same time, a ray of light just happened to fall on Xiahou Qing’s body, as if he was bathed by a golden light.

It made him extraordinarily handsome.

When she saw his face clearly, Lou Qingwu couldn’t help but ask, “Third prince?”

Xiahou Qing laughed and then headed closer, “MIss Lou still remembers this little prince, it really is this little prince’s honour.”

Lou Qingwu shook her head, slowly letting her guard down but also a bit bashful.

She lowered her head and after half a beat, spoke in a small voice, “... Third, third prince, why are you here?”

XIahou Qing’s eyes swept over her, she was indeed a small girl.

But I was still a bit too late and after an hour, saw some people in black rush a horse carriage towards the mountain. I felt it was a bit strange so I followed them up. Xiahou Qing spoke to there and then stopped.

Lou Qingwu’s eyes stayed lowered, her fingers gripping tightly on her handkerchief.

From Xiahou Qing’s angle, it was like the uneasiness after being frightened.

But only Lou Qingwu knew that the reason why she kept averting her gaze from Xiahou Qing’s direction was that she was scared she’d accidentally reveal her disgust towards him.

She quickly raised her head, her eyes reddened, “It’s lucky that the third prince came today, otherwise …. otherwise ….”

As if she couldn’t go on, Xiahou Qing continued to comfort her, “Miss Lou, don’t be scared, it’s all okay now.”

After a long time, Lou Qingwu then managed to calm herself down, weakly looking towards him and begging him, “Third, third prince. Tonight’s matter, can you not tell anyone else?”

Even though her kidnappers didn’t do anything to her, her being kidnapped was true.

If that was spread out, it’d only make her reputation worse.

So at this time, her request was extremely fitting to her situation and made Xiahou Qing even more assured.

“Miss Lou, don’t worry. This little prince won’t speak a word about tonight’s matter to anyone.”

Xiahou Qing smiled gently, the warmth in his eyes growing.

Lan Bai didn’t seem to understand what her master wanted to do but she followed suit.

She supported the frightened Lou Qingwu onto the carriage that Xiahou Qing prepared.

The carriage went on its way quickly and soon after, arrived at the capital.

Because of Xiahou Qing, the guards outside of the city didn’t ask much and let them in easily.

When they reached the outside of the Lou residence, it was only 5-7pm.

He personally lifted up the curtain and because of how tall Xiahou Qing was, it made his actions seem even more gentle and courteous.

Lou Qingwu quickly snuck a look at him before lowering her head and slowly getting out of the carriage.
