Chapter 56.2 - People from both sides

“Assistant general Li … went towards that way.”

“The rear courtyard? What was he doing there?”

“Chun Tao” was frightened and shook her head, “I don’t know. This servant was following the people that the Countess of Chaoxia had brought from the rear courtyard and had just seen the assistant general Li go towards the empty room. I was scared of messing up madam’s affairs so I didn’t follow.”

“Okay, I know. Hurry and go tell mother. I’ll come back in a bit.”

Following “Chun Tao’s” reminder, she remembered why she’d come towards the rear courtyard but if Chun Tao had already said that, there probably hadn’t been a problem, right?

This Chun Tao was a confidant that mother had sent towards the Countess of Chaoxia’s side, so she definitely wouldn’t have the guts to lie to her.

Right now, she was more worried about Li Jingsheng and what he thought about her.

Getting Li Jingsheng’ position, Lou Lianxin didn’t have time to think things through before rushing towards the empty room in the rear courtyard.

She thought, she might as well see that sl*t Lou Qingwu’s tragic face on the way but of course, she couldn’t let Li Jingsheng know.

Otherwise, once he did, he’d mess things up and that wouldn’t be good.

Behind her, “Chun Tao” saw her impatient face and her mouth corner curled up in a mocking smile that didn’t match the rest of her face.

She used her hand to fan herself as her waist twisted around, moving strangely as she left.

On the other side, after Lou Qingwu had been knocked unconscious, she “let” herself be carried away the black clothed people.

Right until they carried her to the spot the Ruan Zhen mother-daughter duo specified, then Lou Qingwu soundlessly opened her eyes.

She rolled her sleeves and a bag of bewildering powder slid out.

But before she could move, a sudden crashing sound came from outside of the empty room.

Tens of black clothed people alertly glanced at each other before rushing out.

Lou Qingwu’s brows furrowed, what could’ve happened?

Right afterwards, swooshing sounds were heard before the door opened again.

Only this time, the batch of black clothed people weren’t the same.

Lou Qingwu’s look slightly changed and just as she was about to move, she felt someone hit her meridian points.

Right before she was about to faint, she heard, “Aye, you don’t want to live anymore, master didn’t let you …”

The person who hit Lou Qingwu’s meridian points, after being reminded by his colleague, suddenly rubbed his head.

Thinking of his shady and moody master, his heart suddenly trembled, “I, I forgot. I saw that she hadn’t fainted and was scared that she’d yell out and what if she ended up calling people inside? That would make things even worse.”

“But now what do we do?”

“First, deal with the people outside and then as for Miss Lou, we’ll … we’ll bring her back for the master to decide.”

Master told us to protect Miss Lou well and bringing her away from this dangerous place counted … right?

“..... Whatever. We can only do that now.”

The second batch of black clothed people had only just dealt with the Countess of Chaoxia’s people and hadn’t managed to leave before a muddled person came from the front courtyard and swayed his way in.

The person who was moving backwards and forwards was the Li Jingsheng who had come from the banquet at the front courtyard.

He followed his memory to come to the place and adding to the amount of alcohol he’d drank, he wound up here.

He walked all the up until the black clothed people before his head swayed.

He saw the empty room in front of him then looked to the side, “This one? Or is it that one?”

“Whatever, I don’t care!”

He pushed the door open and just as he was about to go in, a sound suddenly came from the empty room to his right.

He suddenly turned his head around and swayed and rocked towards the other side.

Pushing that door open and walking in, he walked all the way in before realising that it was empty.

He was too lazy to move again so he just walked towards the only bed in the room.

He felt like his whole body was hot and uncomfortable so he started pulling at the lapels, exposing a large expanse of chest.
