Chapter 82.2 - A freak combination of coincidences

His cold face, when he looked towards her, brought a hint of warmth that even he didn’t pick up.

When the other girls saw this, they looked at her a few more times, incredibly jealous.

When they sat down behind the females, the noble girls could only disappointedly sit back down in their original seats.

Lou Qingwu also sat down but felt a gaze on her, so hot that she felt almost uncomfortable.

Her sleeve was suddenly tugged as Lou Qingwu returned to her senses, tilting her head to the side to meet Lou Yun’er’s big and innocent eyes.

“Big sister ….”

She dragged out those two words, making Lou Qingwu shudder.

Her face showed no expression, “What is it?”

“Big sister, do you know … know …” It wasn’t known what Lou Yun’er thought of, as her small flushed completely red.

Lou Qingwu narrowed her eyes, “En?”

“Does big sister know the second, second prince?”

“En, I’ve seen him a few times. What about it?”

“That …” Lou YUn’er twisted her handkerchief, her small face becoming even more red as she lowered her head.

It made her seem even more delicate and gentle, “Can big sister introduce me to the second prince? Yun’er …. Yun’er ….. Likes the second prince.”

When she finished speaking, she didn't even wait until Lou Qingwu replied before quickly lifting up her head and gripping Lou Qingwu’s hands.

She blinked at her, “Big sister, you won’t fight with Yun’er over him, right?”

Lou Qingwu’s eyes completely darkened.

But Lou Yun’er continued to act innocently, as if she didn’t see gloominess in Lou Qingwu’s eyes.

She continued to pinch Lou Qingwu’s sleeve, acting coquettishly as she swayed her sleeve.

“Big sister, promise Yun’er, okay? It’s hard enough for Yun’er to like someone and then again, didn’t they all say that big sister likes assistant general Li? Isn’t that right, big sister?”

Lou Qingwu: “............”

Behind her, Lan Bai couldn’t take it any more.

She angrily spat.

Lan Bai’s mocking and ridiculing words made Lou Yun’er’s face redden and whiten.

But she spoke loudly so all the other noble girls around her were listening in.

Hearing this, they couldn’t help but look mockingly at Lou Yun’er’s barely grown face, clicking their tongues.

They were quite obviously looking down on her.

These mocking and despising looks made Lou Yun’er’s tears roll down her face.

“You … you’re just a servant. How dare you speak like that to me. Big sister, are you also like that? Looking down on Yun’er? If you didn’t want Yun’er to come, then why did you agree to father’s request? Wu wu wu, if you’re not going to help Yun’er, then I might as well just go home!”

Lou Qingwu’s head was starting to hurt from how noisy they were and using up her patience, forced herself not to colden her face.

She passed her a handkerchief as she disguised her emotions, “He’s not appropriate for you so just give up. When you come of age, father will obviously find you a good marriage partner.”

Lou Yun’er heard this but didn’t take the offered handkerchief.

She just looked at Lou Qingwu with teary eyes and not knowing what she thought of, angrily wiped at her face.

“I just knew it. Big sister, in your heart, you want to marry the second prince too. What appropriate or not appropriate? So you think you’re appropriate? Did you forget what your reputation’s like right now?! If you don’t want to help Yun’er, fine! Don’t go finding so many excuses for yourself! Hmph!”
