Chapter 20.1 - Girl, this is fate

The dumb husky, this type of animal, was usually active and lively.

So this animal that was lying down in front of its dog food, had its usually bright fur, all dull and even its eyes were dimmed.

Not too far away was some vomit.

When he saw Tang Xiao walk over, he even pitifully whined, looking at its vomit pitifully.

“Su Ugly, what are you doing?”

The dumb husky weakly dangled down its head and in a moment, vomited again.

“F***! Su Muzhe, what’s up with you? Don’t scare me, are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere or did you eat something weird again?”

After deciding to raise a dog, Tang Xiao hid away all of her small items because she was scared that the dumb husky might accidentally eat them.

The dumb husky lied down on the floor, looking extremely unwell.

At this moment, Tang Xiao was slightly freaking out.

She ran to the study and grabbed her phone, panicking as she dialed Chief Ning’s number.

The phone quickly connected and Tang Xiao snatched to speak first, “Chief Ning! Su Muzhe looks sick, vomited a lot, what do I do?”

The phone didn’t call out Chief Ning’s voice, but instead, Mu Cheng picked up.

“Was there anything unusual these few days?”

Tang Xiao looked at her phone screen.

She called Chief Ning’s phone and called all the way to Mu Cheng?

But she still honestly answered, “His appetite’s grown a lot, apart from dog food, he’d even sometimes jump up on my table to eat my food.”

“Maybe he’s eaten a lot so that’s why he’s vomiting, or it could be gastritis … alright, come over and open the door for a bit, I’m at your entrance.”

Tang Xiao instantly was dumbstruck.

On the phone, Mu Cheng hurried her again, and in a moment, the doorbell rang.

Before, for the sake of calling Tang Xiao to open the door, Xiao Lin bought a huge bell for her apartment.

So every time she rang the bell, all the hair on Tang Xiao’s body stood up.

The dumb husky looked up at her, questioningly.

“Nothing, nothing, I’ll go to open the door. If you’re still feeling uncomfortable, vomit again. Afterwards, I’ll take you to the vet. Right! Don’t even think about eating it again! F***! Not even licking, alright! Stop your mouth!”

Mu Cheng wore casual clothes outside of her apartment, his left hand still holding his phone as he faced Tang Xiao.

Tang Xiao turned to the side to let Mu Cheng in.

Once they entered the living room, the TV’s wall was filled with Mu Cheng’s photos and posters.

All different types, some that even Mu Cheng had forgotten had taken.

Tang Xiao felt a bit embarrassed, like a secret that she’d kept hidden had suddenly become public.

In a moment, she didn’t know where to put her hands.

Mu Cheng just swept his eyes at them carelessly, not showing a surprised expression.

“Where’s Su Muzhe?” Mu Cheng took notice of her anxious hands that keep turning around.

Knowing that she was feeling a bit awkward, he warmly changed the topic.

“Ah? In the kitchen.”

Tang Xiao almost didn’t realise that the ‘Su Muzhe’ was speaking about, was the dumb husky she was raising.

She dashed into the kitchen first and on the way, ripped down the nude poster she’d pasted on her fridge door.

She scrunched it up and stuffed it inside the fridge.

Mu Cheng looked at the vomit that the dumb husky had thrown up, then picked it up and walked outside.

After a few steps, he turned around to look at what Tang Xiao was wearing.

“You should go change your clothes. Su Muzhe’s condition isn’t looking good, so we might have to go to the hospital.”

Tang Xiao was really casual with what she wore at home.

She wore a tattered t shirt and a pair of flowery shorts, her fringe was held up by a huge butterfly clip at the top, and even her ponytail was only casually pulled together.

After Mu Cheng’s reminder, she ran to her bedroom to go change, on the way, pulled down her hair too.

The dumb husky was pretty big, so it was a good thing that Mu Cheng was here.

Otherwise, if it was for Tang Xiao, she’d probably have to drag it along the floor.

Mu Cheng drove and in about ten minutes, reached a veterinary hospital.

The vet inspected it and saw it was a slight case of gastritis.

“Nothing, nothing, we’ll just put it on an IV drip. Ah? Wait, why do I feel like you two are familiar?”

The vet wrote a prescription and then stared at Mu Cheng and Tang Xiao.

“Aiyo, my god, are you guys celebrities? My little sister likes watching dramas so I feel like I’ve seen you guys on TV before.”

Tang Xiao looked at the badge on his chest -- Xiao Ji Ji (Zhe).

(Ji Ji - two characters that make up ‘Zhe’ e.g. 吉吉 =喆）).

In her heart, she read it a few more times.

Shock.

Xiao Ji Ji = small pee pee.

F****, isn’t this scamming your son, which family’s parents came up with such a scamming name?

Her eyes were full of pity as she looked at Xiao Zhe.

“Aiyo, f***!! I’ve realised it! You’re Mu Cheng, right?!” Xiao Zhe was obviously quite moved, pulling at Mu Cheng non-stop.

Tang Xiao suddenly understood, if he was really this, then it’s okay if his pee pee is small.

Her pitying eyes became even more pitying.

TX’s realisation = she thinks that Xiao Zhe might be gay.
